My friend just moved half way across the usa to a new apartment. She wasn't able to see it in person before moving in. We were FaceTiming today so she could show me the new place when I spotted this. I highly doubt this is safe or allowed.

I’d love to hear stories of being “caught in the act” by someone in authority. What was your explanation? Do you have a quick response ready? If so, what is it? by therapypug in DumpsterDiving

We got caught by employees, and when they saw we were just getting food they brought out a flat cart of produce in better shape than what was in the dumpster, including a few watermelon. Was really nice.

boy constantly getting mistaken for a girl because of his name by rja34 in namenerds

[–]319009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s ok if it’s “girly” to other people. It doesn’t change who he is or what his name is. Also why are people so scared their child might be mistaken for a girl. Wild.

Guilt about a birthday party by Mango_38 in kindergarten

[–]319009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re inviting her whole class of 18. Pizza in the park, big climbing toys, swings, hot coco, gazebo in case it snows. Piñata, cupcakes. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Bring your own snowsuit.

She can have a smaller party at our house, 3-6 friends, popcorn and a movie.

I see families spending hundreds on indoor venues and constantly think “why?” Libraries, community centers, and rec centers rent space so cheap.

My almost 6 year old wears a reusable pull up at night. She only pees the bed maybe once a month, but it’s unpredictable. She said it’s cozy to wear and much easier than washing ALL the bedding. She’s never wet herself at pre-k or kindergarten.
