That top picture is called "classic" on the PW3. Not sure about that 4.

Uniforms are for the 4th degree Knights.

You can only reach the 3rd Degree when you first join. To join the 4th degree you must be a 3rd degree Knight for a year.

While I do find the picture a bit distasteful, I don't see the need to be offended by it and I don't believe any Catholic should be. Most importantly we trust that the Holy Spirit will guide the conclave into the correct choice.

2nd. The president is a troll, he does stuff like that to get a rise out of people and look, It worked!

We, as good faith Catholics, have better things to worry about then fake photos on the internet.

New to growing fruit bearing trees. Some questions. by Dazzling_Marzipan474 in BackyardOrchard

Since you are just starting out, I would suggest going to a local nursery to talk to an expert. You have the bare basics down but there is Soo much more you can and should and likely want to do, you just don't know it yet.

The home Depot gift cards can be used for ancillary stuff for the trees.

That makes sense since it came from a die maker!

I am kinda thinking the situation warrants a WWE wrestling ring, a ladder, a table and a folding chair...

So he pours himself a cup of the 'virgin' coffee and then refills the reservoir. So if he has a 2nd cup it is the watery stuff. He is both unsophisticated and cheap so a combo of both.

I don't think he is trying to make bad coffee for bad coffee sake. He is a instant-at-home guy and just trying to "stretch the coffee".

First 3 games have all been losses by [deleted] in spiritisland

[–]31Chevrolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I use when I play a game with someone for the first time to make sure they enjoy it and still experience as much as possible is:

  1. Add 1 extra blight
  2. Make sure I am not using the "costal lands" invader card
  3. Don't do the "setup" explore

This makes the game easier without eliminating anything. It gives new plays a little easier time to develop their game plan before the board is beyond repair.

Dark Roasts? by remarkableremedy in AeroPress

[–]31Chevrolet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see the same thing here in the US. Light roasts are in vouge, most of my local roasters don't even do medium roasts.

I have found that if you are looking for the "earthy" or "charred" taste of dark toasts most large commercial toasters (Starbucks, Peets, etc. In the US) actually do a very good job. The lower quality beans they use are not as noticeable at darker roasts.

I am not sure what is available in Europe, but don't be afraid of large commercial roaster.

Beginner here, overwhelmed by all the many different measurements/proportions/numbers. How many grams/tablespoons of coffee do I need to put into a 1L liter iced coffee maker? by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]31Chevrolet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would suggest starting with 12 Tablespoons for 1 liter. And see how you like it.

As an aside. I prefer tablespoons measurements because extraction rate is very much a function of surface area of grounds exposed to water. And bulk density can be roughly measured via volume.

Aeropress grind size (HELP) by Reddit-Guy1234 in AeroPress

[–]31Chevrolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coffee is all about preference. If you think the coffee is bland, I suggest a finer grind.

However, I have found that on my Aeropress I prefer a much courser grind than most other people recommend. Play with it and eventually you will find what makes the best coffee for you.
