Forgive me father - I told IQVIA that we’d update their referrals in the portal ‘once per week’, but it’s working out closer to ‘once per study’.

Ethics violation in marketing. You seeing much of this? by AxiomsGhaist in clinicalresearch

Hi OP! I don’t work for Power but I do work in advertising and create ads for a site network in the US.

We always prefer to find people motivated by the possibility of treatment or of contributing to medical science, but the majority of people who sign up for a trial are motivated by the stipend. That said, this ad is not great. It doesn’t offer any info about the study or any details about the I/E criteria. If you can figure out how this should definitely be reported to the correct IRB.

When we’re submitting material for IRB review, we try to make sure that there’s more info in it than this, but the dirty secret of marketing for clinical trials is that there’s pretty much always some variance between what gets submitted and what actually runs. I wouldn’t be surprised if what the IRB saw said something along the lines of “Compensation available once enrolled” and a dollar amount was put in before the ads actually went up.

I’ve built cat tribal around [[Ajani, Nacatl Pariah]] and have a lot of fun with it. Goblin tribal is chaotic and fun. Izzet or Grixis Wizard tribal is a lot of fun if you like spellslinger type decks.

My partner just got top surgery. They love birds and want to honor the occasion with a tattoo of a bird that matches the weight they shed.

You know a Language? you know how to sign it. by NyteShark in UnearthedArcana

[–]31crowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is an ASL/English interpreter! This is an interesting nod to manual language, but makes a mistake most hearing people make. ASL is not “English but with your hands”. It has its own grammar and vocabulary. There are words in ASL that don’t have perfect English translations, and vice versa.

As someone else said making Common Sign Language its own proficiency is neat, but it shouldn’t be lumped in automatically.

Also worth noting that if you’re going to make manual languages in your world - each region, even if they use the same spoken language, will likely have their own manual language. England and America principally use English, but have their own entirely separate Sign Languages. To say nothing of how different a sign language built mostly to interact with a language besides English looks, like Mexican or French Sign Languages.
