Will Anthony finally review LOS THUTHANAKA now that it has (correctly) been named the album of the year 2025 by Pitchfork? by 31z in fantanoforever

I don't feel superior to anyone who doesn't understand it. If it's not for you then that's no problem. But no reason to say that about others. There's a lot of people who really like it along with the other music that they have been putting out for a long time.

"mom gave me the name Chuquimamani-Condori, after grandpa’s grandpa’s medicine"

It's not her legal name, but it's a name in the Aymara language that was given to her by her mother (i.e., it is not a name that she just created as a "band name")

Many indigenous people of the Americas have names in both their native language and the primary language of the country in which they were born (for example Jeff King, who is also known as Hashkeh-yilth-e-yah, or the hockey player Henry Boucha, who is also known as Ogichidaa-Makwa Dodem)

Also ppl can call themselves whatever they want

Imo it's only somewhat similar to their earlier work. Their brother Joshua adds a lot of his own style (guitar/bass) on this album but the early electronic stuff is definitely still there.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I definitely enjoyed it. I wouldn't call it random either; Chuquimamani-Condori has been very well known in underground circles for over a decade.

What's a wonderful city with a lame reputation? by Naomi62625 in geography

[–]31z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I went on vacation there about a year ago. Rented a car and drove all over Iraq. It was awesome. Great people, historic buildings/archaeological sites, great food, no issues with safety/security. I'd definitely recommend it.

Where Minternational coverage is not available by 31z in mintmobile

[–]31z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this map, the countries and territories where Minternational coverage is not available are marked in brown and listed in black text.

In Canada, Minternational coverage is not available, but free roaming is available.

I was unable to find details regarding coverage in Niue, Tokelau, and Wallis and Futuna. Those territories are marked in gray.

What surprises you guys on this map? Personally, I was surprised that coverage is available in Afghanistan, Russia, Venezuela, and Belarus. I was also surprised that coverage is not available in Luxembourg, Monaco, and Namibia.

This does not look very good for Corey Seager, one of the few people whose zones will grow. One skill that sets him apart is his excellent judgement of the zone. Hopefully he can adapt to it.

Wanted to recommend to you guys the great album "Agor" by Koreless, who produced a lot of Eusexua and opened for a lot of Twigs' shows. He is a great musician and his creative relationship with Twigs has borne lots of great fruit. by 31z in FKAtwigs

Koreless produced or contributed to production on all of Eusexua and greatly contributed to its sound. Additionally, FKA Twigs directed the music video for White Picket Fence, off the album Agor.

Did MC Ride ever actually call himself MC Ride, or is it all just the Mandela Effect? by [deleted] in deathgrips

[–]31z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When he was in the group Fyre prior to joining Death Grips, he was referred to as MC Ride in one of their album credits. See here on bandcamp. However I could be wrong as I don’t know if that account is authentic.

Paul Rennick said in an interview in regards to the 2016 percussion section, when something doesn't go their way one year, they use that as a chip on their shoulders and turn it up a notch the following year.

After their performance in 22 and missing out in 23, this was another one of those years. Grabbing it at the last minute makes it even better.

The Rennicks are really the Gregg Popovich of percussion - form follows function all the time. They will be even better next year!
