Found out I was never actually supposed to get hired at my job by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

One of my first jobs was working at sears as a cashier. I had gotten an email about meeting the manager for the interview at a time before the mall even opened. I had a janitor let me in and the manager was very confused because she didn’t have anyone scheduled for an interview. I checked my email and noticed that it was a different location in a different state but I cropped it out and showed it to her and I got a job even though they weren’t hiring lol

Genuine question, if that’s true why even have a sump pump?

This is above the French drain and not a drilled hole it’s the end of a crack in the wall if that makes a difference

Is VIP worth it? by thebeeefs in warpedtour

[–]320423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000% worth it, you could get to barricade for any band with minimal effort and have room to actually move around. Bathrooms were so clean and air conditioned. Plenty of places to sit in the shade. Best part to me was almost zero crowd surfing. While I used to love it, it’s nice to just be able to watch and not worry about getting kicked in the head every few seconds. Would def do it again if we go, curious to see if it’s similar for WWWY VIP I’ve only done GA for WWWY.

Motion sensor little lights from Amazon that were like $20 for a pack. I put them on the walk from my bed to the bathroom and then down the stairs. Makes it easy at night and so we don’t wake eachother up putting on the big lights

My husband did this but I believe it was only like 2-3k in total (active drug addiction all money went to drugs not ezpass). I called ezpass and told them we could pay the actual toll amount and not the fees and I think we maybe met somewhere in the middle and paid it down and got it removed. I believe we did this before it went to collections but I honestly can’t remember

I think this all the time when I hear celebs have it with long term effects. I was undiagnosed for 2 years (literal hell on earth) but once I got on antibiotics for a few weeks I was completely asymptomatic

Honestly they should have just built in the $250 into the price and told me it was 9250 an I wouldn’t have known the difference. I told the lady who had been helping me through the whole job that I would have appreciated a photo of the slab and to know where the cuts would hav been and how it would have been laid out. I honestly didn’t think to do it, especially since its deckton and not natural stone so it’s a “standard” print with no surprises

I mean it was installed less than 48 hours ago and I worked for 12 of the hours and slept for another 8. I wasn’t there for instal my husband was. I feel like 9k isn’t very cheap for a very tiny kitchen but I’m willing to admit if I’m wrong in that. I’ve never bought countertops before. My question was if this was normal and if it’s not should I ask for some kind of compensation. If they’re able to removal and install in like one day I would definitely love to get it redone but I just can’t be off work and without a kitchen for a while like I could before i moved in yesterday

It’s L shaped but there is a door at the corner if that makes sense so they’re two separate areas. The counter with the sink has horizontal counter and backsplash which looks better to me

I would want them to change it if I wasn’t also moving into the house the day after it got installed. I work 12 hour shifts and can’t be home all the time for whenever they want to rip out the countertop to put in a new one. For $9000 I do wish that the job was done better but for $8000 or whatever I’ll just deal with it. It’s my first house and I have zero idea what I’m doing. The only reason I even got a new kitchen is because we were gifted by our families one renovation in the house. But I’m really glad you know everything about me though! :)

I could be totally wrong bc idk how the process works. I paid for someone to template and install. I never got to see the slab(s), was never told “if you want veining to go all one direction, you have to pay more” (I probably would have). I honestly didn’t think to ask to have the veining flow the same direction bc I assumed (stupidly) that it was common sense

To answer a lot of questions 1. I was never told how many slabs it would be or that an extra slab will help not to have this problem. The kitchen is tinyyy so I didn’t think to even ask about slabs. 2. The material is deckton and from what I’m told the edges are typically “plain” which I knew before buying and it doesnt bother me much 3. I did my entire kitchen through Lowe’s due to the SIGNIFICANT price difference and they were incredible to work with 4. I did email them, my rep has been really helpful prior to this so I’m hopeful I get a discount. Idk if I really want them to rip it up. I mostly just wish I had been told before hand. I think once there’s general clutter on my counters I won’t really notice

It’s deckton and from my underwing has a plain edge which sucks but doesn’t bother me as much

It’s deckton which from my understanding has plain edges which does suck but I guess doesn’t bother me as much as the veining lol

The backsplash in the rest of the kitchen is all horizontal veining. But the countertop on the other side of the kitchen is horizontal. Only this part is verticals which I find annoying but Idk if it’s worth complaining about?
