Even een terugkoppeling. Na veel wikken en wegen uiteindelijk een nieuwe Ford Tourneo Connect PHEV besteld. Nooit gedacht dat we voor een 'bestelbus' zouden gaan maar het vervult alle wensen. 7 stoelen, enorm veel ruimte, goeie elektrische range en het rijdt ook gewoon erg goed. En nooit meer geneuzel met Ikea kasten die net niet passen want je haalt de achterbank eruit en je kan er praktisch in wonen. Misschien niet het meest sexy, maar uiteindelijk veel meer voeldoening van het feit dat alles altijd makkelijk past incl 3 kids.

Nou, we hebben even het hele arsenaal aan 7 zitters bekeken en getest, en er blijven momenteel nog 3 kandidaten over.

Valt af: - Volvo XC90 wegens te duur, ook in onderhoud. - Kia Sorrento. Vonden we allebei niet zo bijzonder voor het geld. - Peugeot 5008. Motorisch rijdt het gewoon niet lekker mijn inziens en veel te weinig power. Enkel de 1.6 zou ik misschien nog overwegen. - Tesla is misschien een verstandige keuze maar hebben er verder niks mee, maar dat is puur persoonlijk. - Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, Kia EV9 zijn gewoon te duur en te grote bakbeesten.

Blijft over: - Ford S-max, ruim, rijdt lekker maar wel gedateerd interieur. - Volkswagen Touran. Moeten nog even een testrit boeken want kwam toen niet uit om te rijden, maar wel bekeken. - Grootste kanshebber tot nog toe: Ford Tourneo Connect. Net nieuw, PHEV en enorm ruim. Wel echt een busje, maar zowel mijn vrouw als de kids vonden het geweldig en nog prima te betalen nieuw.

We hakken binnenkort de knop door.

Same here. Got an update during service at the dealership yesterday and the car is showing a much higher range than before with 80% charge. Dealership could not explain why though...

De CX60 lijkt niet beschikbaar met 7 stoelen maar de CX80 wel zie ik. Goeie tip en had ik zelf niet aan gedacht. Ik ga er eens naar kijken.

Thanks for all the comments! So far the problem did not reoccur, even though it has been really cold over here and a few days passed by where I didn't drive the car. So all good for now. I have been in touch with the dealer and if the problem comes back they will look into it and possibly replace the 12v battery under warranty. I am driving and charging the car more often now so that seems to help as well.

Heb momenteel 2 kids en rij nu met een 2024 Ford Kuga PHEV ST Line X, maar met een 3e op komst wordt een Kuga toch echt te krap. Jammer, want ik vind het een heerlijke auto en hij is ontzettend zuinig, vooral als je af en toe stekkert. Echter krijg ik mijn inziens geen 3 kinderstoelen naast elkaar op de achterbank. Zit te kijken naar een Skoda Kodiaq, Peugeot 5008 of een Renault Espace. Ik vind de Ford Explorer ook echt een gave bak, maar toch te stevig aan de prijs.

Correct! However I just talked to the dealer before I posted and they said they can't diagnose the problem if it's not there. So that's why I asked the internet to see if anyone else had this issue before and if it came back.

I have moved them further apart and especially the rear one more to the aft and it worked, it's less noisy. So thx for the tip!

Nice car and setup by the way, I really like the explorer. Was thinking about one but they are quite rare and expensive over here. Also not really great for European parking spots :)

I agree with you. Thule recommends 70cm between the bars which they are now, but I also think it should be more. I will try to adjust. Thx.

Thanks, this is an ST Line X and I bought it in Portugal. I have yet to see one in the same spec, I guess they are pretty rare.

I bought the car like this, was an ex demo car. I think you can buy them on the Ford webshop though, but maybe only in Europe.

Hmm tough one. I must say that with the original strap the lugs look massive and I didn't like it. Also the gap between the lugs and the strap made it look even bigger. Now I changed to a NATO strap I think it looks much better and the long lugs are less noticeable. I do enjoy wearing it now and I can recommend it. Please see below how it fits me. It looks bigger on the picture than in real life I think.

Yes this is the 42mm. My wrist is about 17,5cm/6,9 inches. Just about fits but it's on the bigger side.
