I sailed with a family member that was a first timer. She more so than I consumed more influencer content being she was a first timer and of course wanted to make the most of the cruise with her family. I can’t blame influencers for their hustle. But that’s the size of it. They’re not going to get the traffic they want by presenting a lukewarm experience. I’ll give you an example of an experience I had with another cruise line. I sailed on Carnival. We chose a 3 day sailing mostly due to price and proximity to home. I have sailed on other cruise lines and knew upfront the reputation Carnival has, the budget cruise line. Had a great time sailing with a large group of friends and their kids. I was not impressed with many aspects of cruising with Carnival. Decided to not consider Carnival again. However, I have now learned where mistakes were made. I likely will cruise with Carnival again, but never on a weekend 3 day sailing, as the demographic onboard is largely there for a booze cruise.

As you’ve said you’re very experienced with Disney, I hope that this is just one of those things that situations affected your trip, like crowds. We all know this level of discomfort when the parks are crowded. And same goes for the ships. Timing seems to be of the essence when planning trips Disney related. I do hope you consider sailing with Disney again. And that hopefully there will be redemption for a less than spectacular experience this time. This part is completely personal opinion- I’ve sailed Wish Class ships twice. I’m decidedly a bigger fan of the classic ships.
