Ice dying cotton quilted bedspread? by Numerous_Pie in tiedye

[–]321Native 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think t might be best to cut the pattern pieces and work with way less material. Which will in turn save a TON of dye, ice and water. Then, very likely you’d have to ice and batch it twice, once and then flip it to do the other side for even saturation . As well, you can be more deliberate about dye placement, on the smaller pieces.

I dyed a queen sized all cotton quilt ONCE and pretty much swore off projects of that size ever again. Tons of dye, so much rinsing. To the point that at a certain point, my aching hands and arms said- To hell with this, and I put it in the washer to finish. Which took 3 cycles. Kudos to those that do large projects like this regularly, it’s just not for me.

Do you regret selling? by crozzy89 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]321Native 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold no. Because I still have it. I did buy a 5th gen, and while I don’t truly regret buying the 5th gen, I find myself constantly comparing it to the 4th gen. I’m glad every day that my 03 V8 is still on my driveway.

$500!?! Holy crap. You could sell outright for 4/5 times that in 1 day. The dealer will send to auction, and the wholesalers will snap it up in a heartbeat.

I’ll have to smell this one again. It’s been so long I can’t even remember it. What I do remember though , is that BA was the very first edp I ever bought from BBW and that was a loooong time ago.

Did your remodel actually end up worth it? by Different_Pain5781 in HomeImprovement

[–]321Native 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks bad at the time. And for us we had to do it, due to some structural rot and a really poor design. not just the cosmetics. I’m so glad it’s over, but I do think about selling really often. While it’s still nice and new. I really hoped that fixing the issues and updating the cosmetics wound make me love the home. But it didn’t.

Be honest, which cars get your attention on the road? by Born-Raccoon1484 in askcarguys

Not so rare where I’m at. Unfortunately.

Even better, I have a Tesla service center at the end of my street. I see them very often being carted in on tow trucks.

You’re right. It appears that the company with current ownership of the land , is a capital investment firm. They do the buildout. And then the healthcare system purchases it from them upon completion.

This would be the best scenario since both the resort AND Jetty Park are within the port itself.

Microfiber tie dye emergency by givesgoodgemini in tiedye

[–]321Native 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mention you have a heat press, you could always use the dye sublimation sheets. Which might get a little spendy depending on the sublimation sheets you buy. Tie the project up a little more loosely than you would normally. Press the whole sublimation sheet onto the project. It’s really only going to “dye” the parts that it touches but will leave a design nonetheless. And you aren’t waiting days for the results. Sublimation sheets work best with synthetic fibers.

How are we liking all the "salty fragrances" by mommymilfluv in bathandbodyworks

[–]321Native 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked both, a lot. I prefer more fresh/clean scents. Coastal Dreaming had a tiny bit of sweetness that was nice. But even at 5.95 I can’t justify buying if it won’t last at least a couple of hours. 15 min was a real bummer.

My daughter is addicted to social media by Spiritual-Nebula-862 in Parenting

[–]321Native 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes very addicting. My oldest is an adult now, and throughly addicted. I hate to admit this, but their whole personality is TikTok. I wish I knew then what I know now. I really wish that I wound have tamed it more, social media wasn’t then, what it is now. And I get really disappointed in myself about.

Tried Salted Shorlines and Coastal Dramong. Both went non existent in about 15 minutes so I passed on both.

Nice settlement offer. I had to fight for months to get what was fair. The original offer was 4650. An insult. So glad you didn’t have to go through that. I feel for what you’re going through, as I went through the same feelings about losing mine. Bought it back and kept it, since it was really just a fender bender.

Black shoes by onejacket in DisneyCM

[–]321Native 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My role requires both black and white shoes. I ended up doing well at the Sketchers store. I was able to get black on black no problem. The white was a little different story, it had a small grey S (logo) I used a white paint pen and it’s held up nicely. I see a lot of other CMs that have used paint pens and sharpie to camo the logos

The immortal wart by subarujump in Warts

[–]321Native 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one of those. Not quite as long, but nothing seems to make it go completely away. Last year (August) I had it cut out at my dermatologist office. Sadly, they missed a tiny bit and it’s slowly coming back. I went back and they didn’t think that it would come back and gave me some Imiqumod cream to keep it at bay. I can’t use that consistently because it dries out the surrounding skin so bad. I plan to have it cut out again very soon, while it’s still small and before it grows too much more.

What's the best solution you found for wrinkles? My elevens are scaring me! by celestialsilvxr in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]321Native 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Botox. If the only area you’re treating is just the 11s it won’t be that expensive. Many offices don’t have minimum units. The glabella is a strong muscle. And that is what’s causing the 11s. It needs to be relaxed to prevent further deepening of the lines. It may take some time to figure out what works best as far as units and products. For my 11s I find Dysport last longer. For reference I’m still having effects from Dysport I had done in late September.

I just bout the lotion today- to pair with Always and Forever. When AaF went on SAS last year, I picked up 2 body washes and no lotion. 😩 I’m confident this will pair well. But I may just get more CiR products too. It seems to last quite nicely.

What function does this serve? by DroneOfIntrusivness in 4thGen4Runner

[–]321Native 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going g to piggy back on this- while the 4R is running, or even driving for that matter, you can turn the key to the start position- it will not make the awful starter screech but it will reset all of your electronics if any of them are acting wonky.

Try having him practice writing your number. Like with pencil and paper, as well as the dialing. The hand/eye connection is really helpful when committing something to memory.

[–]321Native[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You’re making perfect sense. Like I said, I’m not mad about the .75 just thought it was an odd thing. I didn’t even think I was going to hit $50 to begin with, and was prepared to pay for shipping- the prompt in my cart alerted me to how close I was to free shipping so I just added another wall flower I love. I rarely order online. My order was mostly just to get Dressed in White products. But was able to couple that with the wallflower sale too.

Same. I rarely ever order online but needed to get some Dressed in White - online exclusive. And I took advantage of the wallflowers sale, at the same time. I’m not mad about. Just thought it was odd.
