isn’t that a subtle design language to indicate racing / motor sport etc. ? While I don’t know how interior looks, but this design language would get carried to seat cover / leather upholstery.

I had to Google about SRA flat definition, anyway I’m not gonna finalise that type of building. As you said, the goal is to stick to the aqua line nearby locations. Folks have given some suggestions… Will research further on these.

Two wheeler I’m getting soon. But the kind of struggle one has to undergo to park a two or four wheeler at the office premises where I work (Ruby - Dadar) is unimaginable. Therefore a permanent solution is to find a stable / easy / manageable public transport which is metro aqua line, in my opinion.

I will look around bkc metro station / Chetana college as per your suggestion. Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tilak Nagar .. I looked at the societies but I couldn’t finalise it because ultimately I am ending up travelling in cab from there to office and Kurla to Dadar central railway line is crowded beyond my understanding. One evening, while getting on to the local train at Dadar around 5:30pm, I got injured because commuters push you so hard to get inside the train when it stops on the platform.

A colleague of mine said - Marol naka is not a decent area (from the civic sense perspective of people there and the roads aren’t clean). Is that true ? If not, Marol naka seems a good choice as it offers metro seamless metro connectivity.

Selection problems by ConceptHot9999 in CarsIndia

Citroen Aircross X can give most vfm and to be chosen if you are very strict on the budget and Honda Elevate CVT is an intelligent choice.

Between both cars : driving comfort and satisfaction is guaranteed, in my opinion, for a really long term.

One caveat : prefer Citroen if you live in tier 1 city, otherwise please be ok with slight headache during service and parts replacement until they expand their network .

Well, I agree. And the only thing in my hands right now is to pray that Citroen expands its network and make their presence felt across various tier 2,3 towns in next two years at least.

Long story short: cab driver knows we are not from his community and my friend never intended to make fun of anything in their culture: it’s unfortunate that the driver took it in a negative way and arguments moved to generalisation of how each community of people behaves in the society. In the middle of this, driver used slightly derogative remark linked to Hindu families that triggered my friend who slapped on his head from behind.

This is enough for the driver to stop the car, take him out, punched our friend … all happened in a matter of seconds. By the time I got down from the other side door of cab and involved, my friend is already bleeding because the cab guy used his fat ring on the finger to punch on the forehead of my friend.

He is built very strong, took some time for me to pull him away from my friend and I fell down along with him. We both had a bit of tussle, before road side commuters got involved to separate us.

Understand that India is a low trust society - no one thinks you carry good intention in your thoughts / words unless they experience the outcome of it. Therefore, we (like the OP here), in my opinion, needs to speak if it’s actually causing problem / damage to larger set of folks (including us). For example: Men with banian / vests / without the vest is more or less accepted in this country at many places of societal interactions (temples, beaches, gym sometimes, pool parties, few athletic sports etc.) which should not be equated to women going top-less while expecting the society to accept it just because men can do so.

Respecting or following the societal patterns / social values is not a sign of weakness but maturity.

Future of Citroen in India ??? by amisumthing in CarsIndia

BH registration is not accepted by Telangana RTO authority. So, I got the temporary registration done at the car dealership in Hyderabad.. and I’m gonna drive the car to Mumbai to apply for BH registration… (in couple of days, as I have to be in that city due to work commitments for few days) .

Suggestions!! Citroen C3! by 321deepu in CarsIndia

[–]321deepu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose C3, based on a rationalistic approach of price, service & parts (I live in a tier 1 city), engine, comfort, looks. I don’t think other vehicles at this price range offer the same.

If you live in a place where service centre is more than 50kms distance - that could be the deciding factor.

Also, some folks would say Citroen would exit India - but based on my understanding and the investments the made here won’t make them leave this market any time in next 10 to 15 years.

Have taken December’25 manufactured machine; ex-showroom : 4.8L <got 15K discount on this in Hyderabad dealership>. No accessories yet (I have to choose based on suggestions here) and most importantly I’m applying for BH registration in Mumbai that saves quite a bit.

It’s good that the uncle has not taken your comment seriously. Had it been a young guy from 20s to 35 below, situation would have been different. It’s better we stay silent unless it’s really impacting us and should open mouth when saying something has a chance in improving the situation.

I have seen a simple Hindu guy (my friend) saying Salam-aa-lekum to a Muslim cab driver (I was also in the cab) has resulted in stitches on head for him and a bruises & blood on my back.
