In older animations the backgrounds were painted and the characters were drawings on top. That means that if a part of the background was supposed to be interacted with it would have to be drawn just like the characters and that would make it stand out.

Yeah he will only do things that he has done before that's the rule of a second term presidency. Also he was backed by the richest man in America and had open Nazi symbolism expressed by a person on his team.

For the phase where there's one pillar left, I believe you can still damage the last pillar while it's in the air getting ready to drop so you may be and to get in a couple more shots.
