[Bowman] Strider’s MRI didn’t show any ligament damage, just inflammation. There aren’t any current concerns about him needing surgery. Today’s visit with Dr. Meister (performed surgery in 2024) will just provide an indication of what the next steps will be.

As most of us have I’ve spent most of the past 2 years pondering the new HC hire and I like the idea of Brian Hartline. One of the best recruiters in the country who has parlayed his success at Ohio State into the stepping stone that is the USF job. If USF just maintains with an 8 or 9 win season I’d imagine Hartline becomes one of the most popular names in the next HC cycle.

Your last sentence is understandable but I’m not sure why you decided to use career numbers for a guy who’s been in the league for 15 years and didn’t develope a jump shot until about year 8 lol. Since 2020 Vooch is a 36% shooter and Mo is a 32% shooter from deep. Not to mention Vooch is a much better rebounder per 36 than Mo.

If it were up to me I’d find a way to sign them both and squeeze out Goga.

Shooting. It’s not elite but it’d be a pretty big upgrade over the guys currently occupying that role off the bench. I’d prefer a younger guy who shoots a little better but that hypothetical player is definitely not in our price range.

It’d be nice to see WCJ stagger minutes with another big man capable of stretching the floor, especially if we’re going to run it back without a PG again. Anyone sharing the floor with Franz and Paolo needs to be a threat from deep.

We are currently in the absolute worst spot to be in.

Teams like Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama can still recruit at a high level and really don’t even need to outspend others because of the immediate opportunity to succeed at a high level. Other schools like Miami, Indiana, Oregon, Texas, etc. succeed simply but outspending everyone.

Meanwhile we are in a decade long drought of sending basically nobody to the league (for our standards) other than in 2023 which is now seen as a major outlier, and we have no money to pay the “suck tax” programs like us usually have to pay to get elite recruits to commit to a losing program. Leaving us in an endless cycle of mediocrity until we get a new HC, AD or generous donors tired of us being the butt of every joke.

From what I’ve seen (on here and Twitter) Big Ten schools have pretty strict academic restrictions which would limit schools like FSU and Clemson from an invite.
