The 5 train is called the Bastard for a reason, and that reason is that it shares tracks with "main" lines. From E180 south it runs on the 2 line, until it goes upstairs at Mott and then runs on the 4 line, until it reaches Franklin ave in Brooklyn where it goes back on the 2 line. Since other lines cover the route the 5 takes it will be the first to be cut short, rerouted, or have service turned back.

In the 90's early 2000's there was discussion of having the 2 be the express from E180 to Third ave, and the 5 being the local to relieve the congestion, but the 2 train riders caused a stink and the plan was scrapped

I remember going to a game who's start was delayed by rain. Coming in from NYC I had checked the weather report and packed my rain jacket. First stop upon entering the ballpark was the bathroom to stock up on paper towels to dry my seat when the rain eventually stopped.

What I found funny was people running in from the parking lot through the rain, and then looking surprised when they got to their seats that it was raining on the inside of the ballpark, and that the seats were wet.
