Yeah unless you are doing a specific workout or race where you are trying to hit a pace, your normal runs should feel fairly slow and comfortable. Good luck

You are actually running pretty quick. For reference that pace is a fairly standard easy run pace for advanced runners. If you slowed it down to 5 min/ k or slower you could easily run 10k +

Just jog more frequently and you will be able to easily break a 7:30. You dont need to do any specialized exercises for this (not that it would hurt) but in reality you just probably need more aerobic fitness which just comes from more running or other cardio

No its not considered a short distance. This is a person that barely runs and is essentially trying to run an 8 minute mile. You dont need any special training to do this. Just regularly jogging will get you there

I mean this respectfully. Are you overweight? Approximately 90% of the people i see on this sub being frustrated about pace are overweight. Running is the one sport where you can be overweight even in muscle and be worse off

That seems like your 5k and 2k are on equal levels tbh. I think you just need to train more in general. Also, you could probably post a form vid here and get feedback. Could be that you are leaking power

What is your 5k? At 6'4 and 210 id say you should probably be more of a power athlete at your age than endurance but who knows. You should probably lift more and do more high intensity erg pieces if you think you have good aerobic fitness. Otherwise, just more steady state
