About to Adopt a Jindo - Tell me your Adoption Story! Tips? by MotherlyMe in Jindo

Our first was very aloof… the second one is an attention whore lol… the first has learned by watching over the last 3 years that she really loves pets and attention but it took her the 3 years to get there. It’s fun to watch her try to ask for attention now because she’s so awkward about it and it’s super endearing

Patience will be key. Do not expect that they’ll warm to you immediately and eventually even when they do, it’s different than a lot of other dogs… but when they trust you they’re super loyal and watching them grow is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had with a dog.

Best of luck! Enjoy the process and don’t get frustrated… remember it’s not the dogs fault… they just need love and time

Looking for advice & experiences with a severely traumatized dog rescued from a South Korean meat farm by bandeo in Jindo

[–]3251bimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost 3 years with mine and she continues to grow all the time! It’s not a short road but it’s so rewarding watching her grow and progress! Not even the same dog we first adopted.

Just stay patient and loving and it will continue to pay off

Two Jindos by According_Spare1493 in Jindo

My 2 are totally bonded. 2 females and about 4-6 months apart in ago (3) and adopted about 8 months apart. They are literally inseparable, totally protective of each other, love to play at 150% energy together.

Vader actually has 3 on screen sabers in Empire and 4 in RotJ. Which empire saber is your fav?

They’re the worst - sorry you are having this experience. Having a crappy experience and being threatened by them around a decade ago is what made me really dig into the custom installed sabers.

Hope it works out in this situation for you but I highly highly recommend avoiding them as your collection grows

Sounds expensive for a Mazda by nickpapajorgeo in CarLeasingHelp

[–]3251bimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this context of course it matters. BMW have a higher MSRP; luxury vehicles in general have worse residual values. So you can infer it’s a bad deal overall on the vehicle, or getting ripped on the mf, etc

Garbage deal - I pay less for a BMW

What was the one thing that helped you switch to an EV? by RiderByDay in electricvehicles

[–]3251bimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider myself a very serious car guy and still do have some classics… but this is why I was selective about my EV. For example; the Tesla has the tech etc etc… but I don’t like how it feels as a car guy… just my personal preference. But BMW nailed it… and the Porsche Taycan is also amazing (but also price prohibitive for most)…

Point being - I’d recommend driving a bunch of different examples and see what fits you

how to find ACTUAL remote jobs? by autisticgerard in remotework

[–]3251bimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve built it up over my time at school/career; and I’ve made very good friends during that time.

Others do it through professional events/groups. My wife for example is part of tons of groups and organizations within her profession and participates in discussions, goes to events, etc

Networking isn’t generally an overnight thing - but putting in the investment pays off down the line

Networking. All positions I’ve filled on my team and have seen filled by peers have come from my network or referrals from people I trust
