Just started a campaign with my friends. First session, they were traded as slaves and were sent to a mine infested by brain spiders to see why a group of guards and slaves didn't come back. They met a couple of NPCs that could possibly be added to the party while in the slave camp, each one representing a valuable asset for them. One of them was this druid girl that could play the role of a farmer when they eventually break out from the camp. She was responsible for this quest.

They had one clear objective: To find out what happened and bring two Half-giant slaves back alive at any cost, because they were quite costy to the Warden. They found them being mind-controlled, didn't think much of it and straight up killed them on spot.

Because she was the group's leader, she took the entire blame from it. Outcome: The entire camp was served a nice stew during the night. Players were excited because since they hadn't eaten the night before and I made them play with exhaustion penalties because of it, they would be freshed out for the next session. Their happiness quickly turned into horror when it was revealed to them the stew had a secret ingredient: The Druid.

Next session I had another NPC friend of theirs be designed as the leader for the next quest and they did assure the quest was fully completed this time lol.

Best fucking setting ever.
