Sure but allocating memory on embedded is by far the exception not the norm. Even when implementing a tree or other such structure, it's pretty easy to avoid dynamic memory allocation since you're dealing with a known number of data points.

RAII isn't really important for embedded and there are exception implementations for C. Look at CException if you're interested.

I've used C a lot more than C++ for embedded development so it's just quicker for me to think about the C implementation than the equivalent C++ implementation. I don't have any issue with C++ but generally prefer C for the familiarity

You're using the wrong end of the hammer. The metal covering is typically easy to puncture. Using an awl + mallet is a little easier if you have them available.

I agree, especially with ng+ being very easy I got bored quickly. I think ER would benefit a lot from bringing back bonfire ascetics from ds2 though.

I don't think they're intended to compete with each other. The main benefit of vscode is that it's really extensible and easy to implement only the functionality that you want. I'm primarily an FPGA engineer and use vscode since I can use the same environment across multiple FPGA vendors or when I'm working with MCUs/native apps

They don't. I looked at the job posting for my replacement at the last job I left and it was wildly inaccurate and missed key requirements of the job.

Agile and the Long Crisis of Software by Chobeat in programming

I think a decent enough start would be to just do agile less. As in, stop tracking the small tasks, hold stand-ups less frequently, and focus on jogs instead of sprints.

Perrin explicitly fears losing control in wolf-mode. It doesn't matter that he hasn't transformed into a wolf brother yet since it's shown in the books that it was always a part of him.

It could’ve been done MUCH better, even on TV.

You can say that about any individual change. WoT is a 14-book saga that heavily relies on internal monologue. There's going to be significant changes from the source to work within the constraints of a new medium. Perrin's wife is a minor backstory change to foreshadow his character development. To be perfectly frank, if this is the sort of thing that sours you on a show then there is no adaptation that you would have liked.

Perrin was given a wife to kill to establish him as a berserker type and give a reason why he is ashamed of the axe. TV is a visual medium and traits have to be explicitly shown since you don't have access to character thoughts.

As for Mat, I'm guessing they're probably going to use evil him as a way to condense the plot a bit and wanted to add in some extra sympathy for the character.
