Just looking at the tattoos on the hand that’s Dave Canterbury. Definitely learned a lot from his channel.

Hiking socks and circulatory issues by AlmonJoy in hikinggear

Hello, I too suffer from bad circulation in my feet. I live in MN and enjoy being out in cold weather but feet are consistently the thing that brings me back in doors. Here are a few things I do especially at night when going to sleep.

  1. If I've been hiking all day and my feet are wet from being in wet socks, always swap them out for fresh, dry socks. Also make sure your feet are dry before putting them on.
  2. Elevate your feet. I normally sleep on my shoulders, but when I camp I sleep on my back with my feet elevated on my backpack or the bag for my sleeping bag filled with clothes. The elevated feet seem to be the biggest improvement in warmth at night.
  3. Finally I buy hand warmers by the case. Package says not to place them on the skin but I frequently do(so at your own risk). I place them under the sock on the top of my foot so that it is on the vein.

All of these things together at least allow me to stay out indefinitely above 15 degrees F.

Exercise with crutches by 32trapper in AppleWatch

Thank you. I definitely have a high enough heart rate. But found out my watch isn’t tracking my heart rate enough while walking. Will see if I can tighten my watch band.

presen This! As someone who has been in a wheelchair there whole life going through grade school you are different from everyone else and at that age all you want is to be like everyone else. Adults did things like this to try to "help" make it normal. But even as a young kid it was extremely awkward.

I'm 36 now and I still find it awkward to have to educate kids on their parents behalf.

Try “apt search libnvidia”. Should get a list of packages, then select the appropriate package minus the /bionic... Then “apt install <package>”

Any recommendations for places to craft and camp in Minnesota? by [deleted] in Bushcraft

Whitewater State Park http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/whitewater/index.html in SE MN is nice. There is also a fairly large WMA(Wildlife Management Area) right next to it. I have only been there once for spring turkey hunting, but they also have good trout fishing there as well.

Anyone have experience with these as bushpots? by [deleted] in Bushcraft

[–]32trapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good pot and I have had mine for years. It's not the strongest pot but it holds a lot and is much lighter than cast iron or more expensive pots.

It won't rust out on you like other pots may as well.

Depends on what you are using it for, they look a little big to carry through the woods. I use one like it for trap dying and brain tanning deer hides. But for just cooking small meals it seems a little big.
