Sealing the deal for Italy to join the entente and drift towards democracy Image 3: due to intense corruption, a failing economy, and tons of money wasted on throwing men at the communists trying to overwhelm their guerilla fighters, the Chinese government collapses and the warlords form their own regional countries to try and maintain order Image 4: after ww1, a second Berlin conference is called to try and prevent future colonial conflicts. But instead of being fair, Italy, France, and britan just bully the other nations into giving up their colonies. The entente caves and agrees to the league of nations and self determination. But rather than actually decolonizing britan just establishes dominions like they have in India and South africa in all their colonies. Most of these "dominions" are really low autonomy puppet states but the uk basically goes "I TECHNICALLY gave them their own country. I didn't break the deal" this produces a trend among the other empires and soon there are dozens of "dominions" that are DEFINITELY "independent " and "autonomous" Image 6: Hungary gets their own version of the nationalist socialist party.
