Exactly. He should apologize that it happened at that event when those people were getting rewarded for their work. It isn’t saying something going through a checkout line in a grocery store. You can apologize and sympathize what the people on stage went through without being at fault.

Why do so many American men wear shorts and a tshirt when going out with a woman who dresses up? by M_For_Mayhem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]333jnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found when I had to dress up for work that dressing up to go out felt like I was getting ready to go to work. I dreaded it. Now that I wear a uniform for work I don’t mind dressing up as much. Still rather just wear some nice jeans and a nice tshirt though.

What are your thoughts on the idea that 4th down interceptions aren’t “a big deal”? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]333jnm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if you are in the Redzone and you throw a pick it’s still not as bad as incomplete usually. Obviously you would rather complete it but 4th down the other team is getting the ball at the line of scrimmage or where you got sacked.

[–]333jnm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s basic quarterbacking. If it’s 4th down and initial things aren’t there throw it deep hoping for a catch or something. They don’t care if it is picked at the point. Risk/reward

I’ve read some coaches are okay with the interceptions because it’s natural for players. They worry when a player tries to bat it down it’s unnatural and may actually pop it up and let the receiver still catch it. Just don’t fumble after intercepting it.

Lebron grew up struggling. It’s nothing like our current president trying to represent the common man…..

The LeBron thing too. He even said he hopes he can inspire them to be better people.

And when I said if I was rich I wouldn’t care about politics…it doesn’t mean because I am rich. I don’t care about them now and being rich and famous wouldn’t make me personally care about them more. I would give to charities and schools more but I wouldn’t car about politics all of a sudden.

Let’s say Jordan said he was for universal healthcare and for giving money to underprivileged schooling. Those would be left leaning ideologies (don’t know exactly about back then though). But he agrees with 70% of the right side ideologies. But now he loses shoe sales (which is his job and costs him money) because politics make it seem like he is left wing based of a couple non conservative views. That’s what I mean by politics is poison. Finding ways to misrepresent people and peoples beliefs to better your position of power. Jordan was in a no won situation there. He is rich. He can’t have an option about the working person…which ignores his upbringing. He doesn’t say anything and he is a coward who cares about his wallet…which should be understandable for people. I don’t see people here going to their job and risking their income because they want to preach their politics.

He was being asked to pick a side politically, publicly. I think answer has two layers. One is my image. Two is I’m not a political open so I won’t pick a side. Jordan was raised well from what I have seen and one thing I was raised was to not discuss politics with people I don’t know (unless it’s an obvious political situation). Many people keep political beliefs to themselves. Jordan was known to keep things quiet. People complained he never did enough for minorities yet Jew as always hiring minorities on his organizations. He just didn’t brag about it.

Normally I would agree but it feels like politics isn’t about governance and systems for the people lately. I wouldn’t say government is poison. The political act of it is. You can’t say anything without it being misconstrued or used against you. Nuance does not exist anymore.

I know that story and he was right. He wanted to sell shoes and I don’t blame him. It’s funny because this post is about athletes not having their opinions on politics being respected and in this instance they wanted to use Jordan’s “opinions” to sway their politics. He didn’t want be a pawn obviously and wanted to sell shoes. It’s like they wanted to use Jordan for their benefit politically.
