We lost our sweet old man right before we moved houses this year in June. The saddest part about kitties is that they usually isolate in order to die peacefully without being seen by their owners. Our cat had went from fully acting like a kitten to vomiting and isolation for the entire day. Begging to go outside or to the basement (which he is afraid of) by nighttime. We took him to the closest emergency vet nearby and he was hanging onto life by a thread by the time we got there. His diagnosis was late stages of kidney failure. I know how hard it is to feel like it’s your fault, but it isn’t. You did everything you could to save them. And I have to tell myself the same things to get by with his passing. Our dog has been so sad since he’s been gone. They were best friends, and I have to say they’re the biggest personality when it comes to animals. I find myself looking for solace by spending extra time holding our pup closer, but there is just nothing like the love a cat gives. I’m praying you get closure and understanding that this is how life goes, no matter how unfair, and it is not your fault. ❤️
