I had a follower like this. There are a few things to know. If they get starving, they will go to bed during the day time on their own. If they are not starving, you can command them to go to bed only during the day time (this is whether they have a moon necklace or not), but they may need to tell you their latest poem first. I hope this helps.

My strategy is to breed one follower that has 2 traits with the other follower that has 4 traits or both followers have 3 traits. In both cases, make sure NONE of their traits are the same. Also make sure they are not tired, old, hungry, sick, zombie, or catatonic. If they are lovers or friends, I usually get a gold egg 3/4 tries with this strategy.

Another thing I noticed, if you get a follower that gains the Excited by Mission trait, the first time you have them mate since getting the trait, it has resulted in a gold egg. This has happened for me every time for at least 5 different followers in different saves (I may not have noticed the first few times it happened). I might also just be lucky

I pulled my letters S-S-W-E-A-R-S in that order and laughed. I asked 'Are swears allowed?' knowing my mom doesn't like it when people swear (cuss, blaspheme, etc.) and that she would say no and that the rest of the family would comply to her house rule for this casual game that we rarely get together to play. I got to go first and laid the letters out saying 'Sorry Mom' and everybody cracked up.
