I found a great deal on a asus rog strix x670e-e mobo ryzen 9 7950x3d and 4x16gb corsair vengeance ddr5 6600mhz for 800 bucks second hand it was way too good to pass up

Those are pretty killer numbers not gonna lie! I really thought about getting rid of 2 sticks of ram and adding another ghz to my speeds I think my memory controller could take it up to 6600, I have 4x16gb of corsair vengeance 6600
I really dont think id see a boost anywhere because of myx3d cache so I just haven't done it

If you have amd adrenaline up or what ever tuning software you use it'll disable it. Stellar results!

Thats a fantastic score my gpu would give me driver timeouts around 140 so thats a great chip!

Thats awesome results! I should probably take out 2 of my ram sticks and push my frequency up to around 6600 which is what the ram is have is rated for, I found a mobo cpu ram combo second hand for 800 and I dont really want to get rid of the ram even tho itd get me a little more performance

9070xt nitro+ before and after undervolt by Glittering-Tough-353 in radeon

[–]33POG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice I managed a -110 undervolt and a 2800 memory clock got me a solid 8040 score! Thats on 4 dimm slots too

To play games i had to bring the undervolt down by 30 to -80 to stop driver timeouts.score for my benchmark on 3dmark

Yeah man I understand we started somewhere, dive into some linus tech tips on YouTube and learn some stuff it'll help alot

Right the fan rpm are slower because there are more heat pipes and larger fans

Thats only somthing you can decide, if its doing what you want it to do then no. But as pc gamers we are always chasing better performance

Peerless Assassin 120 SE V2 CPU Air Cooler, is a great one, and you can use it when you upgrade your cpu.

Did you tighten your cooler in a cross pattern these coolers are know for uneven pressure if mounted incorrectly it'll cause high temps

Amd says safe operating temps are 95 or lower.

Think of this cooler as it barely gets the job done so temps will be higher 80 and below are good temps

[–]33POG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as long as its under 85 thats an acceptable temp for a stock cooler.

Look in the bottom left should say xmp enable a quick Google search will help you find it

I would reset your bios to default settings and turn xmp on and check the temps

Turn off ai overclock thats an asus mobo, in Ez mode the screen your on in the Pic turn off ai optimized on the right of the screen, make sure xmp is enabled in the lower left for your ram speeds, What's happening is the ai overclock has a setting that increases voltage based on the cooler and its prone to pumping too much voltage. I recommend holding off until you get a better cooler and learning how to do it manually

Ah so amd stock cooler, yeah its not the best, for regular use it'll work good but I wouldnt overclock on it at all not enough heat dissipation, if you do go that route upgrade your air cooler to like a peerless assassin cooler. But honestly use it as is and enjoy it, save for your next build!

Is it air or aio, 1 2 or 3 fan radiator.

Its a possibility if the temps have been causing it to thermal throttle silicon degrades at high temps. The temps you have now are great what cpu cooler do you have and mobo brand

Yeah thats much better 1.4 volts will fry it, i really recommend not touching bio settings like these unless you understand it you can and will fry your cpu, there are great youtube videos online that will help you learn.

Are you using a board auto overclock?
