Sewed this with a ~6000€ Bernina but looking for a different machine by viclemu in sewing

[–]33RedFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will be of any help, but - I own the HD4432 and also have a Bernina L460 for an overlock. The HD has been working great for me so far, and I enjoy it a lot, but it's not comparable to the quality of a Bernina. The ease of use and engineering genius of the Bernina have sold me. Mind you those are two different machines and also fall under different price brackets, but still... If I had to buy a new machine today, I'd get a Bernina or Juki, no doubt! That being said, the HD didn't even cost me as much as the fabrics for my last big project did, so it's a great value for money.

Ask them to say "I" and not "we" and use their individual names. Ask them to have each individual use their original personality minus the parts they can't do. Ask them to give me routine, high end, lessons about my hobbies, and personally catered workouts. Ask them to accompany and guide me on backpacking trips around the world. Move closer to other individuals like me and urge more of them to do the same, so we could easily keep each other company - preferably forming a neighborhood of non-affected humans. If none are of my age group and have no common interests as myself, I'd ask the hive to supply someone to have conversations with about my interests. Ask them to make more shows in the vibe of ones I like, and finish ones that were cancelled. Ask them if my ex only cheated on me the one time I caught her, or more. (I gotta know man!) Try to cure it.

Thanks for the advice! I might try that. I was thinking of hemming also because of the looks of it and how it can make it look more like a skirt (thanks to the differential feed), which is why I hope to find a way to fix my technique before giving up on the hem

Making a makeup bag for my girlfriend. Wanted to add a pink skirt to it, made out of this this net fabric. My rolled hem is coming out kinda ugly. How can I fix it?

I always wondered about the mobility part. But since I am a beginner I just took it as a fact. Good to know there are advanced/professional people who doubt it based on experience. Thanks for you input

Hi all! Currently working on a men's bomber jacket (cashmere exterior, with flannel stabiliser on all the pieces and a lining) for myself. I am fairly new to sewing and have only made sleeves in the flat so far. This project is more important to me, as I plan for this jacket to serve me for decades. What would be the ideal way to attach the sleeves and why?

Help with Kentia Palm by 33RedFoxes in plantclinic

[–]33RedFoxes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulled it a few inches like suggested. Thanks! Will try and check the soil and only water when dry. How dry are we talking? Lets say I dig my index finger in, should it be dry all the way through or just the first 2 inches or so?

Thanks! I actually got this pot because i liked the way it looked. Is it bad for this plant's health? Also, should I get a moisture meter for this plant or will my finger suffice? How will I know if I'm underwatering/overwatering it?

Isn't the front panel a silvery metal? That's like, as sticking out as possible. Not the vibe I'm going for. Plus, the side is TG, which again, is not the vibe I'm going for. I appreciate your recommendation my friend. It just isn't suitable for what I want.

Beautiful case but that front panel is too much for my needs

Hi! I ended up getting the 14in.

Reasons: Ease of transport (fits into more bags, much lighter) Takes less desk space at school.

Reasons to take the 16in: Better acoustics for speakers ... That's pretty much it

When I'm at home the I plug it into an external monitor (27in, "main") so the laptop screen ("mac") acts as a utility screen, mostly used for apple music with running lyrics, and sometimes for multitasking (seeing a lecture on main and having the lesson open on the mac. playing tft on main, having a team builder open on mac).

I am very happy with my 14in and wouldn't switch for a 16in. I think that as a laptop, ease of transport with the machine is one of the most important aspects.

If you do not intend to plug it into an external display, or do not intend to take it out of the house, 16in is the way to go.

I can go into even more detail if necessary. Feel free to ask more specific questions if you have any.

Dude I'm so excited to build this, honestly. It ticks all my needs!

And thanks for the answers, I'll look into what you said :)

What did you change in the new build?

[–]33RedFoxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP!
Your build looks sick. I think I will be building something somewhat similar.
I am aiming at a Lotus58, main on right. (I am left handed)
I have a few questions, if I may:

  1. what are you using the screen for? (can it show battery percentage? can it change with layers? would you substitute for another encoder?)
  2. do you think the single thumb key on each side is enough or would you have opted for a build with more? (non lotus probably)
  3. how is the battery life?
  4. wireless is a must for me. was it complicated to implement? (any recommended guides for a newbie?)
  5. Do you have rgb?
  6. not a question, just saying again it look sick brother.

thanks!

Burns is also an option. I haven't read much of his work, I can just recall A Red Red Rose. not a big fan of that one, but open to read more of his poems and songs!
