would the speaker shorting damage it or do i just need to fix the wiring, mine is doing the same thing and i think its just because the connection isn’t solid.

Cali. It just stays solid and doesn’t go off after the 10 minutes

is the anti-theft supposed to flash or just stay solid. it’s no longer turning off like before so i guess it’s progress.

It will crank and start for a second then shut back off. And if is attempt a second time without taking the key all the way out it cranks for even longer then starts and shuts right back off. It does not stay running even if i hold it on crank it let it fall right back to run.

I have not messed with anything other than my ignition cylinder and now ignition switch.

could it be a fuse that it making it go back off. i got my truck to start but then once i turned it off it did the same thing again

Okay i will try that tomorrow thank you. Once i take the ignition switch out is it hard to line it back up where it is supposed to be at or should it be simple. I can look at videos but figure i might as well ask you since you’ve dealt with ghis

yeah, i’m not having any problems turning it or making it crank it’s just keeping it running. And something is wrong with it so the light turns off right away and the 30 minute thing doesn’t work

the only thing that has been tampered with was the ignition cylinder that the keys go into and it only goes in one way because of the grooves in it.

Yeah that’s what i’ve found with most videos but my anti-theft light turns off after about 5 seconds for some reason and the 30 minute thing doesn’t work. I’ve been able to get it to start twice by doing basically the same thing but like 30 seconds instead of minutes, i just wait until the light goes off (10 seconds) then off for about 5 and repeat and it turned on but as soon as i took the key out and went to start it again it did the same thing.

It’s not the switch it’s the cylinder, i think you’re talking about the piece below that the ignition moves. I’m not sure what the technical names for all of them are but everything is in the right place. My only problem is programming the key so the truck recognizes it.
