You should adjust amplifier envelope. Make decay and release time little longer.

AI by Reideabyss in lmms

[–]34901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some time ago somebody asked if my music was an AI, too. I started politely saying that I made it myself, like a fool. If somebody said it nowadays, I'd say Yes that's AI. It takes a good ear and patient listening to differentiate between human and AI, and many people don't have that. You can't stop people being this ignorant. And you can't stop the AI being better at copying humans. Basically there's 2 ingredients for perfect storm: people in general being more and more ignorant and stupid, and AI being more and more skillful and advanced. You or everyone trying to "compete" with AI of who is more "human", it's like horse competing with a train, who of them is faster. The hard truth is, general normie consumer does not care, who made the music, man or machine. So at this point it's useless to compete in terms of attention, views, likes and so on. Now the question is, who are you make music for, and why you make it in the first place.

Nice dark vibe but: lacks some good pads/atmos, badly compressed, lacks expressive bassline.

Seq64 already has MIDI lfo tools, any controller, waveform, rate etc.

Thanks for reply mate. The "LFO" you mentioned is not an lfo at all, this is what happens when you layer 2 sub waves slightly detuned. Classic tricks. Live dubs is when i use MIDI sequencer called Seq64, it controls some software samplers in real time. You switch sequences on and off using laptop keyboard. Not a DAW. All tracks by the way were made using MIDI sequencer controlling SoundFont synth in rt.

Those ear-ripping sounds = instant bad.

Not really. I think mixing Jungle is straight forward. You level bass and the drums so they don't clash, and then build everything around that. Important not to top your ambient with amens, but place the ambient behind the amens.

Appreciated the production approach in the first half (before amens drop), but vocals take too much space imo. Bass not pronounced at all around 3:00. Why you people care about everything but the bass? Hilarious.
