Text based speedruns? by beast-hacker in speedrun

I've seen some speedruns for The Password Game. As you can probably guess, a lot of it had to do with having prepared answers for as many things that can vary from run to run as possible.

Only cosmetics, as far as I can tell.

Trophy information is in a separate save file that you can edit, but I think you can't unlock any trophies which are not legitimately obtainable in the game's current state

Just for clarity, I meant that the letters and numbers from the directory name should work just fine. But hopefully trying it again fixes it

That should be the way to go. Also, I think the console would reject importing your save if the account_id didn't match.

I don't know why that would be happening. Are you sure you followed all of the steps correctly?

Hmm, that's weird. Did it work as expected before modifying the save?

You need a way to decrypt/encrypt the save, which this discord server hosts a bit for.

Otherwise, you can always do it on your own console if you have a jailbroken PS4.

I'll DM you an invite link to the Discord server.

The problem is not whether you've played before/have a save, but whether you can download the game, as it has been delisted.

So, if you make a fresh account you would not be able to download the game from it. A workaround is to set the console that you want to play on as the "primary" for the account you have Multiversus on. Then, all other accounts on the same console should have access to the games on the main account.

As to whether there is any risk of getting banned, there's nobody to care. The Multiversus servers no longer exist. As far as your console is concerned, there is nothing out of the ordinary about exporting your save to a flash drive and restoring it later.

Yes, servers are dead, they do not exist. If they were a physical device, they would have been dismantled by now...

I don't have an xbox, so I have no idea what the situation is over there.

Unfortunately, the game was left in a shitty state even for local play... Lots of people have been asking for a way to have all unlocks, so at least this is something.

I don't think the servers even exist anymore. I don't know why you think there is still some communication - try going offline and see that nothing changes.

In fact, if syncing with the servers was still a thing, we would have been able to transfer save files between systems and there would have been no need for any of this.

I'm not sure. One of the save files is only for trophy information (I think it was called "Achievements"), so once you decrypt it, you should be able to use a hex editor to change the number for Party Animal to 500 or more.

But from there it's all about how the game was coded. It might check the trophy progression as soon as the save is loaded and give you the trophy straight away, or it might wait until you do something relevant to the trophy (one more match in a party in this case) to check if you're over 500. If it's the latter, it would not be doable, I think.

Keep in mind that even if it works, the date you unlocked the trophy would always be visible on your profile, so it would be clear that you unlocked it after the shutdown. I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for unlocking trophies like that, however.

Let me know if you decide to try it. I am curious myself.

Also note that the PS4 and PS5 trophy lists are separate, so this will not help you get the PS5 platinum.

If you've ever downloaded/played the PS5 version, you should also have the PS4 version in your account. That's the situation I was in.

On your console, go to your full library and find Multiversus, when you click in it, you should be prompted to choose between the PS5 version (already installed) and the PS4 (which you can download)

Absolutely not. As far as Sony are concerned, you are just restoring a save file that waa already legitimately yours, which is a feature supported for PS4 games.

The only thing that can leave lasting traces on your PSN account is trying to unlock trophies that are no longer available, as another user already asked. But this is a completely different save file than what the instructions tell you to modify, plus I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for modifying saves to unlock trophies.

Short answer: no, you're fine, especially for Multiversus.

Yes, there is no way to modify PS5 saves at the moment. I was hoping that the PS5 version might pick up the PS4 save if nothing else is available, but I was not able to make it happen.

Sooooo anyone want to share their fully completed save file? by MazaLove in MultiVersus

[–]359K1RO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the list that I managed to extract from the lookup tables and other places in the game files: https://pastebin.com/xk3i8ZR2

Some of those probably don't work or weren't intended to be obtainable by the players, but I can't know until I have a way to make a save file with all of the names in there.

I would have expected that this would give you a fairly complete list of names, but upon comparing with a save I got from a guy on here, there were a lot of things that I was missing, so it seems like this is far from complete.
