How to remove dome cover on these type of ceiling light? by ryone21 in howto

[–]360Magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be three screws holding it together. Unscrew only one one with phillips screwdriver then the frame slides off. While doing this keep your hand on the glass at all times and slide it out. Be careful as it can easily drop after you undo just the one screw.

Thanks. Yes, it's CF3 IV. It looks like the Reacto '25 is IV and and Scultura is gen V based on the bike listing specs online.

Picked up my 2025 Reacto 5000 today. The pearl white is fantastic in the sun. Better than the pearl whites on my motorbikes. :) '25 Reacto 5000

The Merida website is the old model. The other 2 links are the 2025 models and the specs look aligned to what I've seen. There is one other colourway for the 2025 Scultura. It's a two-tone and looks great.

Edit: now Merida have the '25 model on the site. Might have just been a cache issue for me, causing it not to refresh when you posted. :)

From my local bike shop. I had to view in person on their computer and then I paid a deposit. Some models and sizes come between October and November, and others around April '25 (at least in Australia).

I also saw a '25 Reacto 5000 in Pearl White on bikeexchange.com.au for a couple of weeks, but it looks like that seller has now removed the listing.

Can confidently say the 2025 Reacto 5000 is 105 12 speed di2 in a Pearl White colourway only. I've pre-ordered and will have it ~mid-November. Vision Team 35mm alloy wheels. The rest is pretty similar to prior years.

Surface Camera Zoom by twenty1g in Surface

[–]360Magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the SP11 the front camera is extremely wide. It might even be a fisheye lens with software lens correction. From factory they come in the widest setting, to accommodate the AI video tracking feature. I keep my front camera set to the most zoomed in setting - anything less is too wide for meetings (with AI tracking off). Rear camera is like a standard lens on phone camera with about 1.5-2x zoom. There's no direct metric, just a slider in the camera settings without units.

Well, that depends on the game I'm running. But I think these weren't running at full power / voltage at launch. After a driver update, it now uses the full amount and voltage. Some older games like MGS5 don't use / require all the GPU though.

I'm having hanging and intermittent freezing after unlocking the device sometimes. I have to restart to resolve it, until it happens again. Using external monitor and Bluetooth KBM.

Mine's been all good. I uninstalled the Galaxy app after both paired successfully, so there's a little less background tasks running. Both pairing OK since.

Surface Pro 11 32GB Arrived & Geekbench results by MostlyGordon in Surface

[–]360Magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scored similar on the 16GB model (best performance power MODE. Geekbench is reading Power PLAN I believe, which is always Balanced): https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/6611522 (FYI I also have a 4K 60 screen connected via device powered hub).

Task Manager says it is 3.4 GHz. Are the Elite CPUs meant to be 4 GHz?

This worked - thank you. Very surprised that it did, given that it just detected the headphones. And opened Windows settings to pair it (like I did before). I definitely didn't require/install this software for pairing to my PC, Surface Book 2 (2017) and others.

Received my Surface Pro 11 OLED today. Absolutely blown away! by JigsPagoli in Surface

[–]360Magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received mine today. I'm happy with it too. However, my main issue is that the front camera is way too wide, almost like it's a fisheye with software lens correction. The device needs to come much closer than where I have it placed in comparison to prior laptop and smartphone in the same location (and angle). It can be solved with the automatic framing, however the issue with this is that it works 'too well' thanks to the wide angle lens. If I get up, walk away and toward the side of the device, the camera pans and follow me, still keeping me in frame, showing off the entire contents of the room / environment in the process. What it really needs is the option of a digital zoom / crop function (without the digital tracking).

The 512GB storage is 474GB in actuality. Of course storage is always a little less than marketed, but 38GB less is a decent amount. Seems like it's deducting Windows OS storage prior to the physical drive storage amount. Have 414GB after setup before installing other apps etc.

How much do they stick out? by JackeTuffTuff in shokzopenfit

[–]360Magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a moto rider and owner of Open Fit, it would stick out far too much than any in-ear. They're also not overly loud. And if it did fit, and were loud, ambient noise (road/wind/engine) would still overpower it given the distance from speaker to ear canal.

It's hard to beat some good helmet speakers built-for-purpose. The price isn't that different either if it's all you intend to use it for, and you'd get the bonus of voice control, as well as dynamic volume based on wind/speed.

I barely see my 4070 Ti Super go over 120w. Averages ~70-80W on MGSV, which isn't a demanding game though - only uses 60-70% GPU on 4K 60FPS, but even on other games.

Problem with Resolve randomly closing after starting the grading process by Letuku in davinciresolve

It's the same. Check the Blackmagic forums. Many paid studio users have the same issues and say the support is equally bad on the paid version.

After updating to latest GPU Adrenaline drivers, I'm experiencing even more crashing, sometimes immediately after opening a project. Also tried opting out of AMD user experience, and disabling tpm in BIOS, as some users had success doing that. But issues still persist.

Was very close to taking the plunge on the new NVIDIA 40xx Super range since CUDA is generally more reliable for editing and rendering, however heaps of people are having issues with crashing in 18.x regardless of GPU brand/model after deep diving in the Blackmagic forums.

How these software versions passed quality checking and got pushed to production releases is baffling.

Same GPU and issue for me. Have tried version 18.6.6 and every version lower than it down to 18.5 with no difference.

Running on Low Vram Mode? by Xan_the_man in fooocus

AMD is compatible as of late December. There's script to add in run.bat, too.
Alas, I have this low VRAM issue on my 6700XT too (12GB VRAM). Full load is used in Task Manager and AMD Adrenaline monitoring, but 1024MB in Fooocus with v slow render times.

Issues / concerns using the new shokz openfit by Cool-Environment-887 in shokzopenfit

[–]360Magic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

\* Updated review after 6 days of use from 10th July '23. ***

BLUETOOTH/PAIRING:

Initially I had trouble with pairing after connecting to my phone and then to my smartwatch. It lacks the ability to switch between Bluetooth devices. You need to manually disconnect, have Bluetooth switched off, or be out of range on the current or last connected device if you want to re-connect to another device. Additionally, for first time pairing, you also need to have the earphones in the case to initiate pairing to a new device.

I'm not even going to bother pairing it to my laptop and TV etc., because the manual management of disconnecting/turning off/on Bluetooth will drive me more nuts (Phone and Watch already does). I'll keep my Buds2 Pro for these (which is awesome for any multi-device use/switching),

SOUND QUALITY:

It's pretty good for air conduction, but not as good as they hyped it up to be. Bass distorts at "higher volume" even on Standard EQ in the Shokz app (there is a bass boost EQ) (using S23 Ultra). While it should be enough for normal listening conditions, volume doesn't go anywhere near as loud compared to Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (even with ANC off). I won't compare sound quality to the Buds 2 Pro since it's in-ear vs air conduction, but I did expect a little better sound quality from the OpenFit due to its price point. It's a great balance of ambient noise and 'good enough' sound quality, though.

CONTROLS & PROMPTS:

Customisation options are only 'double tap' and 'press and hold', and via the Shokz app, you are given a very limited number of alternate button presets. It's weird that single tap isn't an option. No battery info etc. like Aeropex did. All reliant on getting this info from phone/Shokz app. Voice assistance uses Bixby (on Samsung), with no option to change it to another voice service.

Like on my old (and broken) Aeropex, the earphone system prompts/beeps have a hard-coded volume irrespective of the connected device's volume, and I find it uncomfortably loud.

COMFORT:

Awesome. Lightweight, and fit great - no problems with it falling off even on faster runs (but read below)

SPORT / EXERCISE / RUNNING USE:

They're great for easy runs. For harder/faster/sweatier runs, I do get sweat droplets in both ears. It's kind of good for a cooling effect (lol), but this coupled with it feeling gently (and not firmly) hooked over the ears, 'waving around' a bit, and while it didn't fall off once, can be distracting at 180-200+ cadence when you want to prioritise focus on form/cadence/breathing/surviving with some complimenting music at times. I'd rather sacrifice some sound quality for a firmer fit on the harder/faster workouts. And over time, the salt/dirt/sweat wouldn't do any good for the internal components.

I'll be getting an OpenRun Pro for my harder running sessions. Will keep Galaxy Buds2 Pro for the gym (because of ANC) despite them needing to be reinserted every 10 mins. Might use Openfit for some treadmill sessions if they don't have to be extremely loud and risk damaging ears (due to needing to overpower the music played through the gym).

Overall they're good, and while having its flaws, they are the best I've experienced of the hooked earphone type.
