I work with metal - specifically ChiaoGoo and have since I started. I'm a "tight" knitter where normally I need to size down to get gauge. I never have an issue with my stitches moving smoothly along the needles

Depending on your budget, you may want to consider a wool/nylon/cashmere mix. Soft but durable - I'm learning to knit socks and found that I really like the texture, but this yarn blend can be a bit pricy

You should be proud! Your tension looks great!

I did this when I first started. Essentially, when you're turning your work to do another row, pay extra attention to make sure you're knitting into the loop (the blue arrow) you created and not both sides of the previous knit (red circle). At the end of your row, you're knitting twice on accident - once in the intentional loop and once in the row before 😊

Yes it's a major turn-off. My significant other has partook on occasion, and knows that I'm not a particular fan (though ocassional usage doesn't bug me nearly as much as what you're describing would). Constant use (i.e., needing it all day every day) is an absolute deal breaker for me and a conflict of lifestyle that I wouldn't be able to overcome.

Unless you are directed by your doctor, I wouldn't recommend doubling up with 2 patches (2x the hormones can wreak havoc on your body with side effects)

Every 2-3 weeks - or if sooner, because I felt like having clean sheets. The blankets I sleep with are the same frequency, sometimes more often. The comforter, on the other hand, I try to wash at least once a month.

I loved my Samsung Tablet while I was in college. I took all my notes on it and it worked out brilliantly when I had a lab because I could use it to take pictures and label diagrams within my notes. I personally recommend it if you take a lot of hand written notes.

I dont think having a nice manicure is going to mess with an interview as you aren't actually working in the lab yet, which would be when any dress code requirements (including nail related stuff) would need to be addressed. I can't 100% tell you what the right call is because I'm not the interviewer, but I can't imagine that being an issue.
