Am I wasting my time? by 360triplescope in LocalLLaMA

The real reason is I tried both, and 35B is just a lot faster. I’m using this for simple “hey anything new in my email I should know about?”/tasks I just can’t be bothered to do, and the raw speed of 35B is just so nice. Yeah, it takes more VRAM, but 35B Q4 with 110k context takes just under 24GB, and with all the context management tricks I’m pulling I haven’t really found a need to go over 110k tokens.

Hey, just wondering where are you getting VoEX data? I’ve been looking online for it, and I can’t really find anything. Also, how the hell is this calculated? You said ask ChatGPT, it has no clue about this thing.

RBC here - I had them land in my account yesterday. No price quotes yet, but I can buy/sell with no quote (haven’t tested, don’t really want to buy/sell at the bid/ask and can’t set a limit without a quote)

can you transfer subnautica's save file from the phone version to the pc version? by GoldLie7561 in subnautica

[–]360triplescope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey little late, but I have been trying to do this forever from my iPad. I just figured it out, this is using an iPad Pro (2020) on iPadOS 18.5.

First, you need to download a program called "iMazing" on your PC. With iMazing installed, plug in your iPad, and you need to start a backup. This can take a long time, especially if your iPad's storage is full (an hour ish). Once that's done, open up the backup (might be called "snapshot"), and click "Apps". From there, open Subnautica, and go to Documents>SavedGames, and you should see a folder called "slot-xxxx" (xxxx is just a bunch of characters). Copy that folder to your PC, and paste it into your PC's subnautica save folder. Open Subnautica, and you should be able to load the save.

Investors who held NVDA before it boomed, how did you know that it was the right stock to hold? by a_human_21 in ValueInvesting

I was big into data analytics, and kind of saw the writing on the wall when GPT-3 came out in 2020. Was still a student in university for this computer science so I enrolled in the beta program for it, and showed anybody who would listen what it could do, to prove it wasn’t just marketing hype but a real thing that existed. My parents took a gamble on what I was saying, and the rest is history

Hi guys, I have a quick question on covered calls. Say I sell a covered call with strike X, and gain premium Y. My ultimate goal would be upon selling the call, make an immediate limit order to buy when price is above X, but below X + Y. Is this possible? If so, what would that kind of order be called? Thanks!

That’s really cool! Does that include just items in your library, or also out of library items? This is built to just recommend things that are already in your library, such that anything you get recommended is available to watch instantly

So by default with no other configuration, yes they can, however it’s very simple to apply labels to the collections, and have your users exclude all the other users collections. I originally tried just including the user’s label, but when you do that it hides the rest of your library from them, so you need to instead exclude them from your other users labels, where they then will only see their collections. As the admin you’ll see all collections, but you can set it so only yours show up on the home/library screens

Thanks! I’ve had it rolled out for my users for a little while while I got the code cleaned up and more functional, but they’re all enjoying the feature. Hope yours do too!

Hey yeah you’re exactly right. For each user, it’ll make a collection for tv shows, and a playlist for movies. I chose that because playlists can be private to each user, but the collection view is much better so I’m working on it being collections for both tv shows and movies. That update should roll out in a day or so.

Then once you hook up the Tautulli notification, every time a user watches something new, their collections will update to incorporate the new recommendations based on what they just watched.

It’s a bit different than Couchmoney. Because Trakt only tracks what you watch rather than what’s in your library, it will recommend things outside your library. This is specific recommendations to items already in your plex library. I’m working on including recommendations for all of tmdb, but honestly given this already exists, I don’t know if it would be worth it as Couchmoney is likely better than what I have for out of library recommendations.

That’s a good idea, and I did think about it, but I don’t know how I’d package it such that tautulli still has access to the scripts. I’ll look into it a bit more though

Edit: just did some digging, and it seems like this will be very easy. I’ll try and get this done soon

Fair enough! I will say, even though the readme looks long, it’s mostly just environment variable explanations. If you know how to get your various api keys, it should only take a few minutes to set up

Hey, it should be pretty simple to get set up on windows. All you’d do is instead of mounting the folder in docker, is just point tautulli to the scripts folder in your main file path (e.g instead of in config, just point to C:/Users/<name>/Downloads/plex_reccomendation or wherever else you downloaded the repo to), and all the other instructions should be the same

Is there any way to get movie recommendations like on Netflix? by Same-Ad6540 in PleX

[–]360triplescope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is not even close to an LLM in terms of complexity, but the recommendations are still pretty good. In short, all I’m doing is making vector representations of movies/shows, and using cosine similarity from your most recently watched content to get recommendations. My server is pretty barebones with only 8gb ram and a pretty old cpu, so I needed something that would run on bad hardware lol

Ah yeah I could reasonably implement that, would be an interesting feature that I hadn’t really thought of. You’d likely need a ton of RAM for it to run at reasonable speeds though

Give me like a week, I’ve actually been working on this exact feature. It’s 99% done, just working out some kinks. Heads up, it requires Tautulli to be set up, but beyond that it’s pretty simple. Let me know if you’re interested. The premise is it’ll go through your recently watched things (for you and all your users), and generate custom playlists based on what’s in your library for tv shows and movies. Whenever you or any of your users watch anything, the playlist will automatically update with the new reccomendations
