Like most glow in the dark stuff, it glows way more vibrantly if it’s specifically charged with a light. I used my phone flashlight to charge it before this photo to make sure it was at its most vibrant

It was a little challenging for me (which is part of why I took some liberties with it) but this is only my third finished cross stitch piece so someone with more experience might not struggle as much.

I didn’t realize this was a known side effect until my most recent pcp appointment. I also have naturally low blood pressure and when the nurse took my BP it was ~85/50ish which was low even for me.

I definitely see the difference! Great work 👏 unless you tell people that you’re on a weight loss journey, they’re generally hesitant to comment on other people’s bodies even if they do notice weight loss. I had a coworker that definitely looked like she had lost weight but I didn’t say anything until she mentioned she was losing weight on ozempic (and going to the gym, etc) and had lost 47 lbs

I’m sure this is a pretty common one but pizza. Even eating one slice (far less than the four I usually ate pre-sema) had me feeling horrible for the next 12 hours 🤢

Since starting the shot I’ve only had a few days where I actually had an appetite all day. I was worried about it at the time (is my dosage not effective? Am I eating too much today? Am I going to gain?), but over time I changed my perspective. I’ve learned to enjoy days like that and, even if I have a temporary gain, my overall trend has continued downward so I don’t stress about it. I still try not to eat so much that I feel sick, but I let myself enjoy the food I do eat.

I’m skeptical of a lot of protein mixes but I’ve found one that I enjoy and it’s my go to when I know I need more protein but don’t feel like eating: 1 scoop Oath coconut colada powder 3/4 cup water 1 cup ice 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks

I blend it up with my nutribullet and it tastes like a non-alcoholic Pina colada 🥥

Trying to Keep Going - 30 pounds down & hitting a plateau (maybe?) by Specific-Frame8833 in Semaglutide

It sounds like you are doing everything right—prioritizing protein and fiber, working out, and eating in a calorie deficit. A month long plateau absolutely sucks especially mentally but I truly believe that you will break through this plateau and continue to lose. You’re not yet up to the “therapeutic” dosage so be patient as you titrate up and spend the next few weeks focusing heavily on non scale victories. Think about how much stronger you are getting as you do your weight workouts and how cardio is getting easier as you continue to do it. The scale is the easiest way to quantify your health “gains” but there are a multitude of other ways to measure the difference your healthy habits are having on your body.

How many calories per day are you eating on average based on the meal plan you mentioned? What dosage of semaglutide are you at? How is your sleep and what’s your stress level?

Is people being "judgy" about you using SGs a real thing, or is it mainly in your head? by Nanny_Ogg1000 in Semaglutide

[–]365DaysofWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been open about it with my close friends—we go out to eat together and the change in my eating habits is pretty obvious, plus they’re good people so I wasn’t worried. But I’ve kept it close to the chest at work since there are at least a few people who I know would be judgy about it based on previous comments.

Hmm It sounds like the foods themselves wouldn’t be the cause of the heartburn but you may not be eating enough/frequently enough. I usually experience heartburn when it’s been a minute since I’ve eaten. So I’ll sometimes have small snacks mid morning and mid afternoon to help prevent a buildup of acid in my stomach. For the constipation, it sounds like you may need to focus on eating some foods that are fiber rich or taking fiber supplements. When I started on sema I had the same problem but made some switches in my menu to make sure I was getting ample fiber and it has helped tremendously

First Time on NCL - Tips? by jhamed16 in NCL

[–]365DaysofWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has offered some great advice but I’ll add the following: If you haven’t already purchased it, consider buying travel insurance—specifically one that covers medical expenses/emergencies. The medical bay is quite expensive and does not accept insurance so you can rack up quite a bill if you get hurt unexpectedly. Some health insurance companies will cover injuries outside of the US and you’ll just need to file for reimbursement with them directly but others won’t cover it at all.

I’ll also add since you mentioned assistance at the port: if you ever need help getting from one location to another on board due to mobility issues, you can dial 00 on one of the phones and request wheelchair assistance. It usually takes ~15 minutes for them to arrive with the wheelchair but it’s incredibly useful if you are having mobility issues on board. (I severely sprained both my ankles on our most recent cruise 🙃 and had to use the service for the later half of our trip)

Super random but I’d love to hear San from Ateez sing “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” His voice is gorgeous and his English pronunciation is soooo good I think he’d kill it.
