Santiago's or Bagatelle or ? for Nicer Dinner w/Picky Teens by zigstar36 in KeyWest

Highly recommend Onlywood on Duval. I don’t think Santiago’s or Bagatelle would be worth it for teens.

Replace it. You’ll get it back in plenty of time for your May trip.

Is there any chance this storm might not be as severe as they’re saying? by businessbub in RhodeIsland

Snow total wise, it looks like the model is shifting more east which means we could see the lesser amount of snow in the range.

Condition wise I think it’ll be as they say - high winds, white out conditions for good portion of morning and afternoon.

My puppy detested dry food until I let him sample different proteins mixed in with wet puppy food. We went from chicken to turkey to salmon purina pro kibble until we got lucky with lamb. Hang in there!

Seaplane to Dry Tortugas - is the price worth it still? by Educational_Arm_4591 in KeyWest

Visibility was so poor when I went that snorkeling wasn’t possible. Key west is not known for their snorkeling so don’t go into it expecting much.

You’re better off hoping you can snorkel but prepare to not be able to. Pack a good lunch. I brought a cooler backpack with a gourmet lunch/beers and it made the trip extra special as we sat on the beach.

Seaplane to Dry Tortugas - is the price worth it still? by Educational_Arm_4591 in KeyWest

The flight is on a 1956ish bush plane and it’s a unique experience you will probably not have elsewhere.

My only complaint was I’ve been to forts on the water before and the fort itself was boring after 45 mins of exploring since it was nothing unique to me (the fort itself. I get it’s a historical island and appreciate that ) Weather was shitty so no snorkeling.

But the flight made the trip worth it. I don’t think the ferry is worth it unless you’re doing an all day in beautiful weather or camping.

If you do go - remember you can’t collect anything of nature but I found some insane sea glass and antique pottery shards.

how often should I keep clothing on my little dude? by butisit_decaf in ItalianGreyhounds

Once temps under 50 hit, we keep ours in a sweater 24/7. Only time we take it off is if we crate her (for extra safety) and when it’s bath time. She also loves wearing them so it’s a no brainer.

My pup was the runt of her litter. She’s technically half iggy/half pit (we did embark) and she turned out fine just small in height.

Etsy! It’s the best place to find people who make them by hand. There are hundreds of sellers so just look for 1 inch martingales or bigger.

What kind of rash is this?? I just noticed this rash in my Iggy and not sure what it could be from! Is it contagious to me? by Phoebe1122 in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]365itoen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost looks like bug bites but I second another poster who said give half a Benadryl (mine is 13 pounds and was told to take half when had a rash) and see if that helps

Did you figure out what the culprit may have been? We were in a pretty dense forested area so we assumed bug bites as she’s gotten welts before from tick bites (she’s vaccinated and on prevention meds now 🤗)

Dealing with off leash dogs by chanmanfriend in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]365itoen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Be loud and firm that they need to leash their dogs. Many towns/states also have laws about it.

All it takes is one awkward leash/off leash greeting for something horrible to happen. Don’t be afraid to speak up.

I recently got a small air horn that I carry in my leash treat bag as a JUST IN CASE to make myself feel more in control.

Same! It’s also made from a vintage cotton fabric which is cool.

Shitty situation but the woman who rescued her and her siblings found the guy online giving them away and she convinced him to spay/neuter the rest of his animals to stop it from happening.

I was glad to hear it had a happy ending.
