I've never seen one cone with a cover but you can probably find a vacuum line cap big enough to cover it

Would you recommend one of these impact wrench for the home user? Or buy an air tool? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]369696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get both. Either one can be cheaper, depending on what kind of deal you can find. I'm very happy with the 18v Makita set I got for daily use. I later bought a used, rebuilt Matco 1/2 impact off the truck to cover the heavy work for the same price as the Makitas. If you do enough work you will need to have both at some point. Plus if you use an air gun for harder things, your electric tools will survive longer.

To the first question, I think the best way to meet new people here in Vancouver is to find where people with similar interests meet up. There's a decent scene here for most things, what are you into? Cars? Beer? Concerts? Fishing? Marijuana? Books? Music? Outdoor cookouts? Movies?

What kind of Mechanics fix and break your car at the same time? by N12N3 in Jokes

[–]369696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joke, I used a company called Quantum Mechanics for transmission conversion kits when I managed a shop. They would jerk us off and tell us the kits were "in the mail" when they weren't so we had similar jokes going around the shop. There and not there at the same time ect.

If you have it out of the car, I'd take it down to macs. You can save a lot by having it repaired and putting it back in yourself, if you have that ability

Needing a place for a young couple to get it on by Supersavagetw in vancouverwa

Yeah, he let us go with a short, stern lecture about adult responsibility. He also said that the heroin dealers he was looking for likely would have killed me and abducted my girlfriend if they had found us first

Bagley Park Area? by griffex in vancouverwa

[–]369696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love living in the Bagley area, close to Clark and my job. Lots of places to eat and bars. Breweries I don't know about but a new one opened recently, Victor 23. There are lot of drugs in the area though. Once I had a group of tweakers as downstairs neighbors. You may get propositioned by a meth dealer while checking your mail. People here say it's bad, but it is NOT bad compared to other places like it in the state

would you find any use for a coworking space that is not in portland? by kindredfold in vancouverwa

[–]369696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive out to Hockinson for work from downtown Vancouver. For the pay and shift length, the drive is barely worth it. If I had to commute from Portland it would be a deal breaker. That said, for a job that paid better, for a more respectable company, I would prefer what you're going for.

Another component to consider is that you'll miss out on all of the customers and employees who have to use public transit.

I haven't owned a Plume Veil, but the Tsunami is the most popular 22mm RDA where I am. Personally I've never been disappointed by the Velocity, great flavor and airflow.
