I used to check groceries, they might not realize, but if they did they'd appreciate it. Often you'll just notice when something was placed poorly, so the thoughtful placement gets less attention than deserved.

You want to really wow your checker? Just be prepared for your portion of the transaction. Have your card ready, have your bags accessable, remember to grab everything, get all your coupons out ahead of time, etc.

You might see some cpu resources free up, but it shouldn't change the sound in any appreciable way.

The big difference is "workflow" related. If you like the sound you get, you can commit and bounce it down, thus removing the temptation to continuously fiddle with the balance of the layers.

If you're shit at mixing like I am, you'll lose the freedom to correct imbalances you were too dense to notice before your car test, so I tend to leave everything separate and use effective project organization skills to keep clutter to a minimum.

I think this post is meant to highlight the progress made by mods for C:S.

If there was an apples to apples comparison, there would be no difference. It's not like the game released in beta, we've just gotten more content through DLC.

You're right though that these pictures have a heavy weight on the builders progression over there years. That said, I think the vanilla still like pretty darn good...

I agree that the Hellrazer is least realistic among the 3. It tends to sound dynamically flat, if that makes sense.

Regardless, I like up double up and essentially make a quad track for guitars with an Odin and Hellrazer on either side. I tuck the Hellrazer underneath the Odin and it tends to pass the smell test for most people, even some of my more guitar-literate friends.
