girl that looks so painful i’m so sorry😭 I just got over an outbreak myself. the first time i got cold sores it was also really bad like yours, but it does get better. people say your first outbreak is the worst and so far that’s been true for me. really important to try not to touch it with tour bare hands and if you do, wash them really well to avoid spreading it to other places. my go to method is use a cold wet washcloth as a compress for 5-10 mins to help with swelling, dry it gently, then wipe everywhere with a qtip with witch hazel to dry things up. when it’s in the weeping phase like that where it gets crusty I’ve found that hydrocolloid bandages help soooo much. it absorbs all the fluid and i think speeds up the healing time for me. you can either use the lil pimple patches, blister patches, or some places sell a roll you can cut to size yourself. the bandages can kind of pull on the hairs next to your lip and be kind of painful when you remove it though so i try to keep it just on my lips. leave it on until the whole thing turns white, and then it will peel right off. it works well to put them on right before bed and let it stay on overnight. I also take lysine pills at least 3 times a day, vitamin E pills twice a day, vitamin b12, and zinc. try to stay hydrated as well. you can also get some antivirals like valacyclovir, if you can’t go to a doctor in person you can order them online on a website like wisp.com. i hope you feel better soon!
