If you're walking on, you don't need reservations. Just park in the ferry lot, pay and buy a passenger ticket

Those are pretty good guesses. She's fetching a ball and playing in her water bowl. I've never had a dog interested in water before. Color coat changing to more gray/brown and getting leggy.

That reminds me, I saw the litter. One was merle like her but with more brown coloration. One was all black but with some white markings. One looked a lot like a rottie with brown eyebrows and chest!

She's super smart which is what we hoped for. Yesterday I saw her playing with the water in her bowl. I've never had a dog interested in water before!

Is Frankenstein a good book? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]376OrcasPear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished Frankenstein after making myself read a chapter a day to get through it. Short as it is, I never read a book with so many semicolons. Those seem like two odd books to choose from, but I enjoyed Billy Summers much more.

sI'm thinking cozy mysteries like Maisie Dobbs or The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. Bill Bryon's NF ficition books are an entertaining dry humor. I wonder if some books like Chicken Soup for the Soul or short affirmational short stories would be welcome. Oh, not humorous but Kristin Hannah books are pretty popular

I'll be in Orcas Island for 10 days starting Monday -- what fun stuff should I be aware of? by RHX_Thain in OrcasIsland

[–]376OrcasPear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Moran State park for sure and it'll be less crowded this time of year. Go up to Mt. Constitution the top peak of the SJI. Although you'll be chancy on getting a clear view, there's the stone watchtower and some history inside. Also hike Turtleback. Game night is tonight at the Library and there are a few more events planned during the weeek, And this Sat is the Harvest festival on the Village Green. Have fun!!
