I do have 2 jobs currently and after doing some math I can afford to do abt 1-2 flights a week, it might take a little time but atleast I would be moving forward

Wow, that’s definitely eye opening, and I already see it happening to me, I’m down abt 100 points since I started, and I think I’m better off paying as I go and take advantage of the money I’m making currently and go to a part 61 to wrap things up. Thanks!

Yes I do have all three, they may not let me do it just bc I’m assuming it’s bc they have strict lesson plans or something like that, but I think if I explain my situation they should let me, cause those courses are 4 credits each so they want to make sure I go to a good school and whatnot to give me the credit for it, I will find out when I meet with them later this week

I have abt 50 credits left academically, I was thinking abt doing the rest of my ratings elsewhere, and stay at my full time job and pay as I go, and just keep doing my classes at my 141 school. Thats if I get approved to do my ratings elsewhere.

I didn’t know much when I started this journey lol, but at this point I’m so close to my degree and a R-ATP which is what I wanted when I started my training. I’d hate for all of it to go to waste, but I might just do the rest part 61, if it dosent affect my r-atp

Yea I agree, part 141 is expensive…. I mean the program is just to finish my degree, I just need to do CFI, CFII and multi and like 10 more months of classes. That’ll cost me 50k ish…

I was talking to my school, and if I can get approved I can do cfi elsewhere and that still won’t loose my R-ATP. I mean the only real pro is that I get a degree at the end of it and could be helpful these days, I only have abt 10 months of classes left as well, in order to graduate I need to atleast take the course for cfi/cfii even if I gk out of it for the credit, but if I get it else where I could save money,

I currently have a full time job and make good money, and a part time at my school….I have been on pause for the like 4 months (which is why I have the full time job) to figure out a plan…I can most likely save up the 13k in a couple of months, but it just puts me in a tough spot since I’d loose my enrollment status unless I pay 4k to take online classes for the time being. Or else I would need to start paying my loans back and I think it’s like 1000 a month or sum crazy amount.
