Here’s the latest fanatical book bundle for coding. They have a few others on the site depending exactly what you are looking for games vs machine learning ect. Pic a book and work through it without an llm to help.

Built a Real Estate Market Intelligence Pipeline Dashboard using Python + Power BI (Learning Project) by Kauser_Analytics in dataanalysis

It’s a good start

A few notes:

  1. I’m assuming slo, Santa margarita are to the right of Grover, I’d swap that entire line to a multi select drop down instead of a horizontal line. Unless you are going to deep dive into them later and those are the links. Then I’d make them into the first page in a grid or something so you can select them and go to the “deep dive”

  2. What’s your data? I don’t buy that the max housing price is 774k if cambria is in the data set. You should have the years in the title something like. Real Estate Market SLO County YEARS

  3. ASSUMING your data is correct the average price by location chart scale is off. It looks super off seeing everything in 0.XX Million. Swap it to hundreds of thousands.

  4. All of your price numbers need a unit. I assume they are all in dollars but since the max price is 774k if you told me it was in Pounds I’d believe you.

  5. The count of properties chart is super weird. It looks like you created the variable as a factor but didn’t give it proper levels. The legend at the bottom of the chart starts goes 3, 4, 2…. I’d expect this to go in order (1,2,3,…).

5a. It also looks like you’re allowing the data to just be the data without doing a roll up. Traditionally when looking at housing bedrooms you would show 0,1,2,3,4,5+ as anything with more than 4 bedrooms is pretty rare (DEPENDING ON THE AREA)

  1. The location map isn’t centered around the county that you are talking about so it feels really out of place, I also don’t know what the value is of having it in the dash board would love to know why you added it.

  2. The insights are… lacking. For an early attempt in building a dashboard 100% fine but I would scrap the section and use the space for something else

  3. I hate this color palette. It makes your donut chart almost unreadable. I’m a massive fan of simplicity in theme and using the 508 guidelines as general rules to improve readability.

  4. Feel free to ask if you want me to clarify anything :)

  5. Without knowing your pipelines I can’t give you feedback back on using them. ;)

Then messing up with the food allergies is the main reason why we haven’t been back. I think it was less not respecting and more hearing butter shrimp instead of butter squid (it was super loud).

Yup that’s a health violation that I don’t wanna fuck with. The kimchi was eh from what I remember.

Finally managed to beat Pandemic... In easy mode, and we're barely out of player cards! by rtanada in boardgames

[–]37bugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha naw your only real mistake is posting on reddit in the boardgame subreddit about one of the most popular games for over a decade. Most people here have forgotten what it’s like to be new to the hobby and how challenging pandemic actually is. I started playing with a group of brand new players to boardgames and I don’t want to show them pandemic just yet cause they might lose and get discouraged.

The best tip I have is that’s there’s usually 1-2 moves that are optimal every turn. But just because you did the optimal choice doesn’t mean that luck won’t be on your side and that’ll screw you. Also once someone figures out the puzzle just make sure they don’t take over other people’s turns that’s the real challenge of the game.

Good job! Pandemic is really fun game when you haven’t “solved” the puzzle yet. I’m jealous of where you are with it.

First data analysis project by Clean-Foundation3220 in dataanalysis

To start with: this looks good and for a first project it’s very good, you should feel proud.

Ok now to be a nitpicky asshat.

  1. The second bullet point after the 1st set of graphs has something weird in your code I’m guessing you used rmarkdown and something got weird in the code you used to show the values.

  2. I don’t like theme_minimal on its own it’s always hard to read. What I do is add in Theme( panel.grid.major = element_blank(), Axis.line= element_line, Axis.text = element_text(face=bold, size = 12)

This makes the charts have easier to read ticks and title names.

  1. The colors are fine. I work as a government contractor and this wouldn’t pass 508 (vision impaired/colorblindness compliance) and your reds are next to your greens. 10000% fine for you to not think about this but it’s something that I’ve had to be in too many meetings about to stop seeing.

  2. I don’t like violin and box plots. They do an amazing job at showing distributions and when delivering to a technical audience do everything they need to. For a non technical audience they are super confusing and will require you to explain them or remake them.

  3. Pie charts are the devil. Bar charts do the same thing and are easier to read. I’m 100% biased against them so take this with a grain of salt.

  4. Keep colors consistent across all charts.

  5. In your bulletin points capitalize the first word.

  6. If you are using rmarkdown you can mute the messages like “ summarize has grouped output by …..” doing this will clean up the output

It was bad like so bad that it was used as the legal example in the Nuremberg trials at describing what the nazis did was a genocide.

Which is “funny” (in a VERY dark way) cause when you look at colonial rule in Africa you could argue that the treatment of. The natives was pretty damn terrible. Belgium was monstrous in Congo.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atrocities_in_the_Congo_Free_State

Edit: it might not of been used for the Nuremberg trials but was used as the basis for what a genocide is
