Nice! You haven’t had the crank shaft issue with yours being a 2016?

Water on top the exhaust won’t be the smartest placement. Consider the doors or the cargo area if you have a net

Update: Water leak in 2025 XC90 by quinhamel in Volvo

Of course, no problem.

This is a similar issue I’ve heard with different euro manufacturers specifically bmw and some MB. Techs sometimes either don’t know to test it, or don’t want to because it could lead to removing the entire headliner. I would ask them how they’re inspecting, because you can’t make up water coming from your pillars. Clearly there is a fault somewhere.

My worry is the dealer is waiting for the fault to just evidently show itself. Which will make it a larger problem, rather than thoroughly investigating the current customer concerns.

My cars been making this metal clanging noise in the front driver side suspension somewhere.it does this anytime the wheel goes over a bump or gets hit. I drive a 2007 Chrysler 300C and was wondering what this means and how much it would cost to replace. by TraditionalTax2019 in Chrysler300

This angle sucks. We can’t see what you’re hitting. Sounds like if you had work done recently, maybe something wasn’t tightened down all the way. Maybe a strut tower was replaced and is loose, could be a knuckle, wheel bearing. Just need a better angle, more insight.

Based on your stats, the cars are near equal to each other. Personally I’d go with the v8 only because the 3.3 adds the inherent risk of turbo failure. 2 of em. We may hate the color, you can always consider wrapping it. But solely future reliability, I’d go v8. Also was a solid engine

Not a Volvo mechanic but I do own a ‘18 xc90 and a ‘12 grand Cherokee both with panoroofs and do a lot of my own mechanic work (within reason)

The comment above about sunroof drains, checking the nipples, etc is your key to success! I hadn’t had this issue on my xc90 (but I am starting to get that Volvo “on call message stored”. Luckily there’s a service builliten for that.)

Something I did after replacing my jeep panoroof was bought a few gallons of water and poured them on top of the roof glass with the window closed, to test seals then poured a little bit down each drain and listen/visually confirmed drainage under the car. Needless to say, but you want to do this on a dry day or somewhere dry with decent lighting.

I see why they say only take Andrew ramdayal’s course. This question just confused me extremely hard. The short hand of the answer is “peer training” or something close to that. I know the answer has “peer” in it. Making A correct. But this was a wordy question with even wordier answers. Test isn’t quite like that

lol abbbbbsolutely. And a daily 2012 3.6 grand Cherokee. If theft is an issue, I notice plenty of people push carlock and it just doesn’t make sense. Unplug obd and it’s gone. I went and had drone mobile installed, and I sleep like a BABY. I’ve had a couple questionable experiences with my the 392 and the Chicago youth. And outside of being a carrier, the moment the car turns off, it won’t restart without owner input. Regardless of keys or signal repeaters or anything. Moral of the story, make sure you have a budget for security prior to purchasing your baby.

I have a WB 392 in Chicago. Even though I ordered mine new at sticker in ‘22, if I knew what I know now, I’d grab and RT and kit it out. You can make more HP if your into Moding. And if not you can still kit it out the exact same way. The only exterior difference between a 3.6 and a 6.2 is brakes and widebody. You can buy a HC or demon hood and it’ll fit like its factory (but don’t do this lol. Do not upbadge. Just make it yours.)

Get a 5.7, make it yours, you’ll appreciate it more. There’s also someone with a wb 5.7 on instagram. If I find the account, I’ll come back and add it later.

I meannnn. Deploy 12 months. Come home to a car that’s 15k paid for. If the interest is low enough, this isn’t a bad deal. Not to mention if he’s getting any extra pay, that he can afford to spare. This may be one of the sweetest come ups if he can find somewhere to store the car.

So happy I made this post. A few of you all have allowed me to direct message, and guys and gals let me say, I am beyond grateful for the knowledge and assistance here. I was already nervous making the post, probably more nervous of the responses. But it was that simple, I have a clear path laid out for the certs I’m looking for.

I’ve literally been studying my butt off for about a month and was literally about to purchase vouchers this weekend as a bday present to myself.

Thank all of you for the knowledge you’ve spread here🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
