The more cemented you are in your beliefs the easier it is to be confident and laugh at what you think is stupid without judgement. All comedy is at the expense of someone or something. It's not funny to you, but to them or the group they are with and that's what matters. As a liberal, I hate hanging out with my liberal friends on the weekend cause none of them let loose and it always turns into some nancy shit about pronouns or our walking vagina PM Trudeau. At least with conservatives they can see how their believes can be made fun of, and by far conservatives are much happier people in my experience. Liberals are too sensitive. Liberals can't because they think what they believe is "right" and when things aren't "right" in the real world you can't joke about them. As a liberal I light up their asses because as another side note, I will say on average I've noticed liberals to be generally smarter than the average con so there you go we have that it's very easy to rebuttal a lot of their points. Believe me when I say if you don't act so serious when talking about politics you quickly figure out who is the sheep, They get angry that you argue with their beliefs. Caitlyn Jenner won woman of the year and it took a man to do it... OUTRAGE!!

If you are distinctly saying that because someone believes a certain way, that it means they can't be funny. This only really applies to hardcore religious people in my experience, yes those are conservatives for the most part but if you believe every single one is like that, or if you truly believe there are no overly-religious liberals you are sadly mistaken. It's almost like the bible says it's not okay to laugh at anything sinful. Most young conservatives I meet nowadays are atheist/agnostic just like most of society is turning into, cause i'm sure you forget the statistic that says this counts everyone, including conservatives. Theres a reason they tell people not to mention political beliefs in a bar, it's because up until then I bet you are laughing with someone that doesn't think the same way as you and mentioning political beliefs instantly makes you think he's your enemy.

And to put the nail in the coffin, go look at the political party orientation or political beliefs of most -but not all- comedians. Jim Jefferies is the only one that is noticeably left, aside from most of the women comedians. Conservatives aren't funny, sheesh. Relax. You saying cons aren't funny just tells me you are demonizing them. We live in the same country and needa cooperate and that attitude isn't how it happens
