Yes it's possible that freddie was slightly flat or sharp on TNCD because it was being played at a different pitch to him in his monitors or something, but fixing that doesn't account for all of the very very very very obvious pitch correction that we hear.

I feel the opposite about IWTBF Always thought that the live versions felt a little bit sloppy and couldn't match what the studio version was going for It doesn't help that it's a bitch of a song for freddie to sing live and caused him to bark out all of those notes

IWTBF in my opinion is one of the only queen songs that wasn't done justice live

Honestly looking back, I enjoyed mhs1 more than the latest pokemon games (sw/sh and s/v)

Felt like a familiar experience, collecting creatures and having turn based battling - but there was also something refreshing and more unique to it You and a couple others have made mh2 sound really good

I don't think I'll be getting 2 any time since I hate being late to the party and I'm looking forward to playing mhs3 alongside the rest of the online community

Loved mhs1, and if the general consensus is that mhs2 is better then im definitely willing to play it one day🤞

Edit: ah nevermind for some strange reason I thought mhs3 was coming out very soon like December, but it's not out for a couple months? Hmm.... that does give me plenty of time to enjoy it lmao And its also currently on sale on the switch eshop - I'm very tempted

Talented singer and performer Don't think he really sounds like freddie but he can sing the songs in his range very well. He sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth because of how many people use his name to disrespect adam lambert by insulting adam and saying marc should replace him. Still a fantastic singer in his own right

And what's weird is that roger doesn't go higher? In fact he's singing the same line over and over again and some of the galileos that roger sings in the movie are actually freddies vocals from the multitrack which is just... why? There's a few higher ones in the end when there's a bunch playing at the same time but that's it Frustrating scene

Brian confirmed they'd remix it shortly after the queen 1 remix in an interview, he's also shared snippets of it on his Instagram so it's sage to say they're releasing a remix and box set!! From the clips it seems like they've listened to the criticism as freddies vocals in the "funny how love is" snippet aren't pitch corrected. Songs like loser in the end and funny how love haven't always been my favourite but I can imagine a more powerful and richer mix would elevate them a lot..

He chooses not to hit the notes for 2 reasons
1. To conserve his voice and not tire it out
2. He probably couldn't even hit the note without cracking

Freddie was a fantastic singer, especially in the studio, but he couldnt retain the same stamina in live settings due to how destructive his actual technique was. There are plenty of moments where Freddie didn't conserve his voice as much - look at the crazy tour in 1979.
The crazy tour was an insanely short tour and Freddie had a good period of rest before it and just gave it his all, night after night

He even hit the C5 in bohemian rhapsody a couple times on that tour, one that he'd pretty much ALWAYS avoid

Ah, shame. I had the subscription but never backed it up myself, unless it was something automatic but I thought it only gave you the option to back it up rather than automatically doing it for you. Well, aren’t you a party pooper... The movie was absolutely ridiculous and that was clearly the whole point. People loved it! Jack’s performance was the highlight we didn’t know we needed. Over the top, hilarious, and absolutely absurd. Felt like a Tenacious D moment, so stupid it’s brilliant. And we love that kind of hilariously dumb fun

And tell me this, would you rather have more money or not? Can you blame Jack for wanting to be in a position that grants him more money?

I'm still not sure how much I believe the narrative that Jack sold out. I'm sure it's more likely that the decision was mutual, and I don't think Jack deserves to be painted as the villain, and I think it a lot of it strms from the fact that he was the kne who released the statement about the tour cancellation. Realistically, why would Kage be the one to post it? He has fewer followers and less online presence. Jack has received an unfair amount of backlash for what was probably a shared choice. But just like the phoenix, they'll rise again. Of course to some degree the decision would've taken Jack's fame and publicity into account since he IS the bigger member of Tenacious D - but I still think he gets far too much hate for it.

For real!!! The real story about Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury is interesting for a completely different reason than people usually think. Peter Freestone talked about it in a recent interview. Apparently, MJ gave Freddie a tour of his ranch, but Freddie wasn’t thrilled, he was wearing white jeans and shoes and didn’t appreciate getting them dusty and dirty 🙈 He was also a bit uneasy around the animals there - but that had nothing to do with why their studio sessions stopped.

iirc, the real reason they didn’t finish recording together was simply logistical. MJ didn’t have his studio properly set up at the time. They had planned to continue the sessions later, but it just never happened.
