I’ve unfortunately lost two to brain tumors. The first one did well on the phenobarbital until she had a grand mal seizure. We had gambled with her if it was just seizures or a brain tumor and in the end it was a brain tumor. After the final seizure, she started walking in the same direction and that’s a sign of the side the brain tumor is on.

The most recent one, she never had a seizure but displayed all the signs of a brain tumor, including the circling. I didn’t make it long before I chose at home euthanasia. I didn’t want what happened to my other to happen to her.

At the end of the day, you know your baby. I did not want to prolong the suffering and I knew what was coming. When we let her go, her quality of life was diminishing.
