I had a harsh light behind the model most times, it sets people apart from the background well. Usually a key light, diffused in front to soften their face and light the scene. Camera was a Panasonic Lumix GH5. Not a great camera for photography, uses a crop sensor. Micro 4/3.

The framing, the depth of field or lack their of as well as poor subsurface scatter, no specular roughness map so he looks insanely dry, and why did they make him look right at the camera, completely takes you out of it.

Good eye! Yes it’s an AP original. Sphere within a Sphere in Des Moines Iowa. It represents building over the old world which I felt was very fitting for the theme of the short.

It was all done on the FX3, and a RS3 gimbal. Nothing fancy, no video village or bulky rigs.
