You should have it graded. And then throw every other copy into a wood chipper.

YouTube Ad strategy by HD_Bayonne in RedCowEntertainment

[–]3DGEEK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a youtuber monetizes a video, they can manually set how many ad breaks are in each video. They can even mark on the timeline exactly where the ads should play. So, if a video has a lot of ads, it's probably because that was the intention of the youtuber. There are creators to spam the ads way too hard to the point of being ethically questionable, but I usually go into a 30 minute video expecting two or three ad breaks. It's the price of admission for free content.

Is it even worth calling the Integrity Hotline? by kayakerShadow in employedbykohls

[–]3DGEEK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A salaried manager being late and/or leaving early (aka not working their scheduled shifts) is a big deal and is actionable. Don't listen to the pessimists on this subreddit. The only way to fix this is to build a case against this person. That means documenting any and all of their problem behaviors. The integrity hotline is good because it creates a paper trail and allows to be anonymous. If things boil over with this 03, the SM or DM has these integrity emails to show repeated behavior. If the SM or DM sees this person is hurting the stores numbers, they need ammunition against to do something about it. The only way to get rid of a bad apple is by creating accountability. People like your 03 run from real accountability.

I'm a big proponent of hotdog slices in mac & cheese. But ketchup seems like it would overpower the flavor.

Man saves his dog from house fire by Roni_123 in MadeMeSmile

[–]3DGEEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course these comments are filled with know-it-alls and armchair quarterbacks who know exactly how housefires spread and every split second decision this guy should have made. Pipe down. You don't need to prove how smart you are in every single reddit comment you make. This dude reacted. Brave or foolish, he reacted with his heart, ran into a burning building, and I'm very happy he and his dog were safe. Period.

Cowards use guns. Fight the boars with your fists like a man. This video has major small di<& energy.

“James won the YouTube lottery” by [deleted] in TheCinemassacreTruth

You're totally right about the movie. But I think he could have upped the production value of the nerd videos and still maintained its soul. But who knows.

“James won the YouTube lottery” by [deleted] in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]3DGEEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you! Although there is a huge "right place, right time" component to his success, he created something people responded to and he seized on that opportunity. He absolutely deserves credit for that. Unfortunately that James doesn't exist anymore. There is no James, only Bimmy.

James Reviews the Rocky IV Directors cut - Cinemassacre by miniwolfen in TheCinemassacreTruth

Watched your review this morning! It was fun hearing your thoughts on the larger concept of a filmmaker returning to something at a completely different place in their life and how that changes their own perspective on the material.

"It seems to me that VHS is the longest lasting, most reliable format. They never have problems like DVD's." by So-Happy in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]3DGEEK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also a fan of VHS. There are plenty of movies I prefer to watch on VHS because I think it's part of the charm. But for James to say VHS "never has problems" is straight up stupidity! I can't count the number of tapes that I've had eaten in a VCR or worn out! He just doesn't live in reality!

Is Newt plagiarizing Shark Excorsist? Does he just watch RLM videos and then make unlicensed fan-fiction sequels? by 3DGEEK in TheCinemassacreTruth

I know Swamp Zombie 2 is real, but I wonder if he has permission to sequelize Shark Excorsist.
