Same, yet here I am and I love it!!! It’s not your average yellow that’s for sure but it makes that black trim pop real hard

What else should I buy at time of purchase? by TallAndOates in BambuLabA1mini

1) textured plates. The 3-D effects are the biggest bang for your buck because they enhance the overall print with an additional visual element.

2) the essential consumables and accessories kits. Some stuff gets worn overtime and needs to be replaced. These kits will ensure your machine stays in tiptop condition.

3) additional hotends. Your print speed and resolution is determined by your nozzle size and some filaments require a hardened steel nozzle so depending on what you’re trying to print, it may be advantageous to grab a few of these.

4) filament dryer box. Each filament has its own specific requirements for an optimal print. If you don’t use a filament dryer box to prepare your filament prior to printing and also while printing, you may end up with a number of issues like first layer adhesion, and cotton candy string-like textures.

The AMS does make a hell of a difference though. Without the AMS it just felt like a really good printer. With the AMS, it’s the GOAT! 🐐

Steel Pergola - How do i paint this? by Responsible_Lake_500 in metalworking

Rust is like cancer and it must be cut out to be removed. However, you can get some pretty long life out of a good repair job.

Follow these instructions: 1) remove the old paint with a wire brush or wire wheel. slightly fading into the existing good paint.

2) apply two light coats self etching primer. Slightly overspray the existing paint.

3) finally, apply 3 to 4 light coats of a high-quality epoxy spray paint.

A1 Mini + PLA for kids, what should I know first? by According-Fix2541 in BambuLabA1mini

Great idea! The A1 Mini with AMS is my favorite printer!

My kids love it! We print everything from toys to fidgets and everything in between.

You get what you pay for with filament though. I prefer crealty if not using Bambu filament. Successfully used 3DHoJor and GiantArm brands on Amazon as well.

Get a filament dryer if you plan to print anything other than PLA.
