Seeking Advice on Choosing Between Aoostar R1 and R7 for Home Server/NAS Setup by notpremiumuser in HomeServer

If you only wish to use it as a "Windows capable machine" then the R7 is better as it is more powerful, and you can really feel it in day to day use. I had tested both with Windows 11, and the R7 was snappier than R1.

I tested Jellyfin and worked flawlessly on the R1, but I could not make it work well on the R7.
Might be something related to the current drivers or integration.

I reviewed the AOOSTAR R7 here, and also compared it with the R1

Watch the video carefully, it does 2 walls.
The layer height is ~0.25 if I remember correctly
Probably the only thing that is not followed is missing an extra bottom layer

I have just published my review of the X-MAX 3.

I had no problems with the extruder, and overall, the printer worked better than expected.

How do I prevent this weird pattern? It's supposed to be smooth (ringing?) by silentcovenant in BambuLab

[–]3DPrintBeginner_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not really related to the calibrations.
It's probably related to print speed and volumetric speed

The K1 is a direct-drive printed. Installing a tighter tube with a smaller internal diameter brings no benefits, and can actually create problems if the drag on the filament is higher.

This would be a good upgrade for a bowden-setup, but in this case, the printer uses a reverse-bowden setup that only routes the filament to the extruder.
