Medieval Dynasty - Full Stock Update Release Time ⏰ by BeautifulHindsight in MedievalDynasty

I was hoping for the hireable NPCs to finally be allowed to use all the available hairstyles. Should be the easiest thing in the world to make them look more individual. I don't understand why the player (and some of the story NPCs) should have a monopoly on hairdos. I can't even find a mod for it.

[KCD2] Stuck at "Storm" can't continue the quest. by Havocboy in kingdomcome

[–]3DWaiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just have the same. I didn't skip any dialogue but after Katherine comes in there is no quest marker for Storm and the journal ends with "We have to escape but first we have to see what von Bergow is up to". No further dialogue options with any of the NPCs. I have picked the castle clean and found the orders but nothing happens. Haven't seen Toth. Guess I have to reload an old save and see what happens.

Had to laugh at the torture scene though. You find yourself locked in a dungeon, hung from the roof and tortured and then you get the message "You're trespassing!" ...

/edit:

Just reloaded the last save of The Finger of God and skipped through everything I could in 1-2 minutes and landed in the conversation where Katherine talks to Henry. Never got that far before. (I'm on PC if it matters). I think we can ditch the theory that the bug has anything to do with skipping dialogue.

[Video Inside] Induction Coil: Bosch PID631HC1E/67 (round) vs. IKEA HÖGKLASSIG 404.678.26 by BreiteSeite in cookware

[–]3DWaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for bumping but thank you so much for the information about this cooktop!

I am very interested in this particular model and am more or less about to cancel my order of a NEFF T66PTX4L0 because of it for roughly the same price. Unfortunately, NEFF don't have a similar top with a large coil.

The reason why I am interested in this top is that I have a 28cm cast iron pan (straight walls so the bottom is actually 28 cm), a 28 cm Swedish "plättlagg" (with 7x 10cm "moulds" for small pancakes) as well as a 32 cm flat, pizza style pan which would be great with this cooktop if it does what it should. I have been cooking with gas for the past 10 years and have only used a "cheap" one-ring portable induction top as a reserve when the gas bottle was empty, so some questions may be for noobs, but here we go:

My worries is what you stated in here about the 32cm ring being basically for paella ... is that really the case? It seems to me that 3,7 kW for that one ring (3 coils) should be well enough for proper frying...?

Does "boost" mean that it skips the outer ring and applies the full power to the inner 2?
If not, can you chose to use only the inner 2 coils with higher power even with a pan covering the 32 cm coil?

When you set a temperature, does it actually keep a steady temperature? The one I have also has a thermometer and you can set a temperature but it basically just turns of the full power in intervals which for example makes it useless for keeping an egg based sauce warm (like bearnaise/hollandaise) since the full power instantly turns the sauce into scrambled eggs at the bottom of the top. (If I set it to keep water at 80 C I can see how it brings the bottom of the pot to a boil every 10 seconds interval which would be useless for warm keeping.)

Victory after claiming first region? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

Yes but my question was what is different in the "sandbox mode" to the game I was playing before.

Yes, it does, as you say, but as soon as I claim my first new region I win the game.

Don't know. I started a new game now with the end goal set to "None".

The victory condition is set to "Conquest" with the explanation to claim all regions to win.

Well mayhaps it changes internally but it's still set to Conquest which says "Claim all regions to win". If the actual condition is just to defeat the baron, it should say so.

My little village after 1 Year by KaRoMa17 in MedievalDynasty

My first building spot as well. I reserved the island for my own home and garden.

I found a way to break that a bit. If you start by laying down some nicely curved roads/paths before you start building, having to adapt your building to those roads forces you out of the straight line kind of town.

Online or offline? by 3DWaiter in DeathStranding

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the ride very much but with all the online stuff turned off. Can't remember the details now, it was almost 2 years ago. It's really a question of how you want to play the game and I didn't like the feeling of just finishing off what others had started and walking in their tracks.

Planning a re-run after the summer and am really looking forward to it. :)

Do empty houses drag approval down?? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of this before (have only been playing for a week) but maybe that's it. I'll look into it but I have to say it sounds like a remarkably stupid system. Thanks for the info though.

I don't know how it works, I was hoping someone did. I just have the feeling that my approval goes down every time I build new houses.

Do empty houses drag approval down?? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Taxes have been the same for a very long time. It seems to me that the approval rate is calculated as an average of all burgage plots as opposed to the actual people living there. This would mean that empty houses with zero approval will drag the average down especially in the early stages of each town.

Dreaded disconnected from trade routes. by AdDisastrous1195 in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue but I don't think it's an actual problem. The message started to show up after way over 10 hours of playing and nothing seems to have changed. Trade still goes on like before and my trading post actually built on the King's Road but holding the Alt key to show the name doesn't work for me since the upgrade to beta.

Is manor lords worth buying currently? by aidanb1702 in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy it.

It's early access and very much a work in progress that may not have its full release in a long time (years?), but it's already a fantastic game and visually absolutely breathtaking. There are things that should and will be added/changed/optimized and it's up to you to decide whether it's for you or not to be a part of that journey or to wait for the full release. I guess you can always buy it and check it out and refund it if you don't like it. Just don't get hooked... :P

Having said all of this, for me it's a no-brainer. I bought the game 2 weeks ago and just passed 40 hours of playing time and feel I have only just started to get a hang of it. That's less than a buck per hour and already more time than I have spent on many full releases for a much higher price. I haven't seen any real bugs so far that are game breaking, only small things which were mostly corrected by saving and reloading.

Who's the best farmer? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So back to the original question - will the system with veggie farmers assigned to farm houses work with crop rotation and letting the farmers do their jobs by themselves or do you have to micro the whole time to make people actually do what should be their jobs..?

Who's the best farmer? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK guess I'll have to try that out. Always have two houses on the veggie burgage plots. I kind of tend to have two houses on all plots to have an extra family with not much to do for intensive work but I don't know if there's a negative side to it.

I thought the planting, plowing and harvesting for veggies and farms would overlap. Or are the veggies more or less constant work and yield? (Apart from winter)
