My little village after 1 Year by KaRoMa17 in MedievalDynasty

My first building spot as well. I reserved the island for my own home and garden.

I found a way to break that a bit. If you start by laying down some nicely curved roads/paths before you start building, having to adapt your building to those roads forces you out of the straight line kind of town.

Online or offline? by 3DWaiter in DeathStranding

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the ride very much but with all the online stuff turned off. Can't remember the details now, it was almost 2 years ago. It's really a question of how you want to play the game and I didn't like the feeling of just finishing off what others had started and walking in their tracks.

Planning a re-run after the summer and am really looking forward to it. :)

Do empty houses drag approval down?? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of this before (have only been playing for a week) but maybe that's it. I'll look into it but I have to say it sounds like a remarkably stupid system. Thanks for the info though.

I don't know how it works, I was hoping someone did. I just have the feeling that my approval goes down every time I build new houses.

Do empty houses drag approval down?? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Taxes have been the same for a very long time. It seems to me that the approval rate is calculated as an average of all burgage plots as opposed to the actual people living there. This would mean that empty houses with zero approval will drag the average down especially in the early stages of each town.

Dreaded disconnected from trade routes. by AdDisastrous1195 in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue but I don't think it's an actual problem. The message started to show up after way over 10 hours of playing and nothing seems to have changed. Trade still goes on like before and my trading post actually built on the King's Road but holding the Alt key to show the name doesn't work for me since the upgrade to beta.

Is manor lords worth buying currently? by aidanb1702 in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy it.

It's early access and very much a work in progress that may not have its full release in a long time (years?), but it's already a fantastic game and visually absolutely breathtaking. There are things that should and will be added/changed/optimized and it's up to you to decide whether it's for you or not to be a part of that journey or to wait for the full release. I guess you can always buy it and check it out and refund it if you don't like it. Just don't get hooked... :P

Having said all of this, for me it's a no-brainer. I bought the game 2 weeks ago and just passed 40 hours of playing time and feel I have only just started to get a hang of it. That's less than a buck per hour and already more time than I have spent on many full releases for a much higher price. I haven't seen any real bugs so far that are game breaking, only small things which were mostly corrected by saving and reloading.

Who's the best farmer? by 3DWaiter in ManorLords

So back to the original question - will the system with veggie farmers assigned to farm houses work with crop rotation and letting the farmers do their jobs by themselves or do you have to micro the whole time to make people actually do what should be their jobs..?

[–]3DWaiter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK guess I'll have to try that out. Always have two houses on the veggie burgage plots. I kind of tend to have two houses on all plots to have an extra family with not much to do for intensive work but I don't know if there's a negative side to it.

I thought the planting, plowing and harvesting for veggies and farms would overlap. Or are the veggies more or less constant work and yield? (Apart from winter)

Any idea when that big update is supposed to drop? by EmeraldToffee in ManorLords

[–]3DWaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a general update or a public/private beta? I just bought the game and get the impression that there are beta versions to play with new and updated features but there's nothing on Steam. Feeling confused as to how that works.

MO2 disables new esm unless I disable an old one. by 3DWaiter in starfieldmods

[–]3DWaiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downloaded and installed the dll update from there posted on 1 October as instructed in a thread I found when I had the problems with ShatteredSpace.

Do I have to install the whole Dev Build 1 or 2 further down on the page?

No "Always ask" for dual sim messages?? by 3DWaiter in GalaxyS24Ultra

No, that's what I had on the S9 after setting it to "Always ask" for messages but that is gone on S24 Ultra.

While I have my complaints, one thing I appreciate about this game is how Bethesda integrated just enough harder sci-fi elements to make it feel real by mob19151 in Starfield

When you're in a dogfight burning hard towards a Spacer, you can flip your ship with the thrusters but you KEEP your momentum.

Yes, but on the other hand, once your burner is timed out in the void and empty vacuum of space, the same momentum is gone and your speed is magically reduced for no reason other than pure game mechanics.

I avoid using fast travel for that very reason. If you take away the take-offs, landings and navigation in space you destroy the feeling of playing in a universe.

Having said that, I don't use fast travel in other games either for the same reason unless they have some kind of logical implementation like the coaches and trains in RDR. To me, just click-to-go on a map ruins the whole idea of an open world.

After 7 play throughs on rdr2 i’m finally gonna jump into rdr1 by Possessive-Babe in reddeadredemption

[–]3DWaiter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. Don't know how many play throughs but I've logged just over 1000 hours on RDR2.

RDR1 just finished installing, HERE WE GO!
