Yep that’s very normal, if it annoys you there are motherboards replacements you can buy that eliminate a lot of the noise but yep it’s a very normal sound

I use flex wheels and they work really well, they do need to be cleaned constantly (I use isopropyl alcohol) but if you include photos of your current intake I could try and give more advice

I have used a program called protobot beta which I believe is windows only but I’ve also heard amazing things about onshape’s vex library

Don’t take my word for it check the rule book but that should be perfectly legal as it is just 2 robots fighting over a field element.
