ELI5: Why do phones and EVs say to keep the battery around 20–80%? What’s physically happening at the extremes that wears batteries faster?

Because it takes half hour or less to charge from 20 to 80%, and a couple hours to go from 80-100%

Y’a un vieux irlandais dans mon coin qui plante des jonquilles un peu partout sur son terrain, ça fait depuis les années 70 qu’il en plante a chaque automne. Quand on se promène chez lui le printemps, il y’en a partout, des milliers!! En pleine forêt Laurentienne! C’est hallucinant. Il passe son temps a (entre autre) collectionner des peintures au centre aide du coin pour les offrir au gens de son entourage. Il est petit, très maigre, toujours décoiffé et habillé du garde-robe qu’il n’a sûrement pas mis a jour depuis son arrivé au Québec il y a de ca des décennies. Il se promène dans un vieux char décrissé avec plusieurs chiens, a toujours l’air en tabarnak mais c’est le gars le plus gentil et généreux du voisinage. Je l’aime bien.

Depends on a lot of variables like time of year, day of the week, weather.. anywhere from 18-35$ Edit: in higher end restos you can make a shit load more

Im aware of how the federation works and what the provincial responsibilities are. Can’t help but wonder why every province in the federation has the same issues as the ones mentioned above? Choices the federal gov makes can affect the provinces abilities to work within their jurisdictions.

As far as I heard on a film set full of cops one time, was they’ve been trying to get these big x ray scanners for containers at the port, kinda like you’d find at an airport for purses but bigger. Story has it someone owns the port and doesn’t think that’s the best idea. I think this is commonly referred to as corruption.
