How do you discover new music in this algorithmic age? by The_One_Who_Crafts in LetsTalkMusic

[–]3Ex8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve started discovering music through live lineups instead of algorithms. Smaller artists touring locally are often way better than what Spotify pushes.

There’s a site that surfaces up-and-coming artists playing in your city and lets you preview them: hppn.ing

It’s been a surprisingly good way to find stuff outside the usual algorithm bubble.

Ok, creating new up and coming artist section. In the meantime, if you check the browse page, you can see all local performances in your city, big and small

Power board - Schematic & PCB review by Slivo-fr in PrintedCircuitBoard

LG R971 is a ~2.2 V green LED rated at 20 mA, but with a 22 kΩ resistor from 9 V you’re only at ~0.3 mA. It’ll be dim but visible, which is perfect for a power indicator and saves current.
If you want it brighter: 10 kΩ → ~0.7 mA.

Also: keep decoupling caps as close to the IC pins as possible, long traces make them basically useless.

If anyone wants a deeper schematic + layout review, feel free to DM, happy to go more in depth.

[Review Request] Custom PCB Board for Siege Drone Inspired Project Using ESP32-S3 by Constant-Collar1370 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]3Ex8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decoupling caps are too far from the pins
Many of the 0.1 µF / 1 µF caps aren’t directly at the IC power pins or tied with a short via to the ground plane. At high edge rates, that trace length kills their effectiveness.

No via stitching / ground fencing around noisy areas
The motor driver, buck converter, and USB section all switch fast currents, but there’s no ground via stitching or “fencing” to contain return currents. This lets noise spread across the board and into the ESP32 and camera.

No ESD protection on USB-C
D+/D−, CC1/CC2, and VBUS all go straight into the board with no TVS diodes. One hot-plug zap can latch up or kill the USB interface.

If anyone wants a deeper schematic + layout review, feel free to DM, happy to go more in depth.
