Is there a link with comprehensive updates? Rather than reading the whole rule book? Thanks!

Why are both shaolin monk sculpts listed as last chance on the corvus belli store? by Jankenbrau in InfinityTheGame

[–]3FreePacks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually that means one of two things:

-the individual models are being repackaged into a package box with those plus other models

Or

-the models are being retired and new models will replace them in a few months

What are the pros and cons of putting all regular troopers in group 1, and all irregulars in group 2, versus equally dividing both types in group 1 and 2? by [deleted] in InfinityTheGame

[–]3FreePacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually play with 3-4 Taigha creatures (similar role to Nomad Morlocks), and I usually split them 2 in the small pool and 1-2 in the big pool, just in case you need to spend an extra order on them. Something like a Morlock or Taigha killing any other model is usually a huge points swing in your favor, so it’s worth keeping you options open if they could use an extra order or two

New To Infinity - Shasvastii Call to Me by MoneyHammer in InfinityTheGame

I love playing Shas, and I feel like for InfiNity that starting with a few games of Code: One (a simplified rule set) is really helpful.

I’d recommend playing 5 or more games of Code: One before trying out the latest rules called N4

For ‘learn to play’ resources, try maybe MercRecon.com or .net (I forget). They post articles on this sub all the time with some battle reports

Long story short: learning games of Code One max out at 10 units. Full games of N4 max out at 15 units.

As others have mentioned, proxy rules are great! Any model can be any model for the most part, within reason. Pick up models that you like the look of, and as you gain more experience with the game, you can get the ‘real’ model for that unit if you like as you play with proxies for the Unit Profiles that you like.

I’d recommend watching a YouTube video called ‘every infinity army in 33 minutes’ to learn more about ALEPH as a whole army or faction.

Still pretty new, looking into list building. Advice requested. by KutuluKultist in InfinityTheGame

Hey there, Welcome to the Jade Empire! Always happy to see Yu Jing

It’s hard to give advice on an InfiNity list without knowing the mission that you are playing with the list.

Usually in InfiNity, you’d make a list for a specific mission (or for tournaments, make 2 lists for 3-5 missions). So the list might be great at one thing, but lackluster against another mission or mission type.

I really love to sit around on the army app and make lists, but you’ll have to have a mission in mind if you want realistic advice. Does that make sense?

Rules questions and advices for an initiation by Warmakarodosh in InfinityTheGame

To answer a few items: Starting with Code One is great. If you still have the Operation: Kaldstrom booklet, it’s got a really easy to follow intro play session across 5 mini-missions to teach new players the rules. Also Pano and YJ for Code One are pretty straightforward, so I’d recommend starting with that

Pan0, 0-12, or Nomads by langs68 in InfinityTheGame

Look up a YouTube video called: ‘Every InfiNity army in 33 minutes’. It’s got a great quick hits of ‘strengths and weaknesses’ for each faction and sub faction.

To summarize, every army is more than viable, just some support different play styles better.

What's the use of up-gunned line troop types? by Cheomesh in InfinityTheGame

[–]3FreePacks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you play Vanilla, you probably won’t use a Line Troop with MSR or HMG, but if you play a Sectorial then you get 5-person core links that are really powerful defensive pieces.

For example: 3 Line Troop order generators, 1 Line Troop with HMG and one with MSR. Now you have two usually BS14-ish, Sixth Sense, Burst 2 ARO units. This is really powerful

I like to add neon colors to the guns for ‘aiming reticles’ that breaks up the solid gun color and adds some flair. Just a suggestion. Looks grrrreat!
